Enhanced Performance and Aerodynamics for the Racing Enthusiast
Mercedes-AMG has launched the latest addition to its AMG GT lineup, the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+, designed to offer car enthusiasts exceptional driving dynamics and agility, particularly on the racetrack.
The GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ boasts a significant power upgrade with its 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine delivering an impressive 450 kW (612 hp). This power boost ensures a formidable start, making the new model 20 kW (27 hp) more powerful than the AMG GT 63, with an increased torque of 850 Nm. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 317 km/h.
Optimised Aerodynamics and Cooling
Mercedes-AMG has focused on enhancing the aerodynamics and cooling systems of the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ to improve its performance on the track. The car features a redesigned front apron with additional air deflectors, an active aerodynamic profile in the underbody, and the Airpanel active air control system. These modifications reduce aerodynamic lift and enhance steering precision, contributing to faster lap times.
The cooling system has also been extensively upgraded. Additional radiators in the front wheel arches and active cooling elements ensure the drivetrain remains at optimal temperatures even under intense use. This system, coupled with the electric water pumps, improves heat dissipation, maintaining the vehicle’s performance during prolonged high-speed driving.
Race-Ready Features
The GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ comes standard with the AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system, featuring the largest ceramic brake discs available from Mercedes-AMG. The 21-inch forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres and optional Cup 2R Cup tyres provide superior grip and stability on the track.
Design and Comfort
While the GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ is built for performance, it does not compromise on comfort and usability. The model offers a spacious interior with good all-round visibility and optional 2+2 seating. High-tech components such as the AMG Active Ride Control suspension with active roll stabilisation, rear-axle steering, and fully variable AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive ensure a blend of performance and practicality.
A Statement from Mercedes-AMG
Michael Schiebe, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, stated, “The new AMG GT 63 Pro is the sportiest model in our AMG GT family. It is ideal for those who want to enjoy their AMG GT on the road and tackle fast laps on the racetrack. We have boosted the engine’s performance and enhanced aerodynamics to ensure stability under intense use. At the same time, the GT Pro offers a high degree of everyday usability. This blend of performance and practicality makes it a perfect addition to our AMG GT family.”
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+ stands out as a track-ready powerhouse with enhanced aerodynamics, improved cooling, and increased power, making it a formidable choice for racing enthusiasts seeking both performance and everyday usability.
