Mladá Boleslav, 1 July 2024 – Škoda Auto is set to redefine the compact SUV segment with its latest all-electric offering, the Škoda Elroq. This landmark vehicle is the first in Škoda’s lineup to adopt the new Modern Solid design language, reflecting a bold leap into a future of enhanced electric mobility and striking design. Scheduled for its world premiere in autumn 2024, the Elroq promises to set new standards in the compact SUV category, the largest sub-segment in Europe.
Pioneering All-Electric Compact SUV
The Škoda Elroq marks a significant expansion of Škoda’s electric portfolio, offering a comprehensive powertrain lineup with outputs ranging from 125 kW to 220 kW. This new model features a range exceeding 560 km (WLTP) and impressively short charging times under 28 minutes. This versatility makes the Elroq suitable for both urban commuting and long-distance travel, offering a seamless transition to all-electric driving.
Modern Solid Design Language: A New Era
The Elroq introduces Škoda’s Modern Solid design language, setting a new standard for the brand’s aesthetic appeal. The design combines robustness, functionality, and authenticity, presenting a sense of safety and strength. Key design features include the Tech-Deck Face, a sleek new front-end concept replacing the traditional grille with a glossy black element concealing advanced sensors. The contoured bonnet showcases the new Škoda lettering, a departure from the previous logo.

Compact Yet Spacious
Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the Elroq boasts a spacious interior, offering between 470 litres and 1,580 litres of luggage capacity. The interior design emphasizes simplicity, spaciousness, and clean lines, featuring a 5-inch Digital Cockpit and a 13-inch central infotainment display. The vehicle also includes clever storage solutions with a total capacity of 48 litres, making it a practical choice for everyday use.
Advanced Powertrain and Charging Capabilities
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB), the Elroq offers four powertrain variants: Elroq 50, 60, 85, and 85x. These models differ in battery capacity and power output, with the top-tier Elroq 85x providing all-wheel drive and a peak output of 220 kW. All variants support DC fast-charging, with the Elroq 85 and 85x capable of charging at rates up to 175 kW, reducing charging time significantly.
Safety and Smart Assistance Systems
The Elroq comes equipped with a wide range of safety and assistance systems, including Travel Assist with swarm data, Intelligent Park Assist, and up to nine airbags for enhanced passive safety. The Intelligent Park Assist feature allows for remote-controlled parking via a smartphone, showcasing Škoda’s commitment to integrating advanced technology for a better driving experience.
Sustainability and Innovation in Materials
Škoda places a strong emphasis on sustainability, using recycled materials extensively in the Elroq’s interior. The Design Selection Loft, for instance, features upholstery made of Recytitan fibre, consisting of 78% recycled PET. This focus on eco-friendly materials aligns with Škoda’s broader commitment to sustainability.
Convenient and Connected
The MyŠkoda app allows owners to control various vehicle functions remotely, including charging processes and air conditioning. The app also integrates the PowerPass, facilitating charging transactions on public networks. For home charging, the Škoda Charger wallbox offers an environmentally friendly solution with solar-optimized charging modes and remote control capabilities.
The introduction of the Škoda Elroq signifies a pivotal moment for Škoda Auto, as it ventures into the competitive compact SUV segment with an all-electric model that blends cutting-edge design, advanced technology, and sustainability.
