Defender OCTA Set to Make Thrilling Debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed

Goodwood Festival of Speed to Host Global Dynamic Debut of Defender OCTA

In an exciting announcement, the new high-performance all-terrain vehicle, Defender OCTA, is set for its global dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 11-14. This event will showcase the fastest Defender ever to conquer the iconic hillclimb on the Duke of Richmond’s West Sussex estate.

The V8 Twin Turbo-powered Defender OCTA promises to deliver an impressive display of its extreme all-terrain performance, featuring innovative 6D Dynamics suspension technology. Just a week after its global reveal on July 3, visitors to Goodwood will witness this all-terrain marvel tackle the 1.16-mile course.

Amid the festival’s vibrant atmosphere, a luxurious stand will highlight the unique identities of four distinguished British brands: Defender, Range Rover, Discovery, and Jaguar.

Defender’s Tough Luxury

The Defender exhibit will showcase the rugged elegance of the new Defender OCTA alongside the new 110 Sedona Edition and a classic Defender 110. Guests will have the opportunity to experience the Defender’s renowned all-terrain capabilities on a specially designed obstacle course, offering a memorable, gravity-defying ride. Goodwood ticket holders can book this experience through an email sent two weeks prior to the event. Additionally, younger visitors aged 4-10 can enjoy ride-on experiences with mini-Defenders on a custom course, no booking required.

Range Rover’s Tranquil Showcase

Range Rover will present a serene display, featuring the exclusive Range Rover SV Burford Edition, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar, and Range Rover Evoque. The exhibit will also include an original 1970 Range Rover. The high-performance Range Rover Sport SV will demonstrate its prowess on the hill.

Discovery’s Family-Friendly Space

Discovery will provide a relaxed environment for families, displaying various models of the Discovery and Discovery Sport, along with a classic 1989 Discovery.

Jaguar’s Heritage and Future

As Jaguar approaches its all-electric future, it celebrates 75 years of sports cars and 90 years of innovative design, performance, and heritage. The Jaguar space will feature an immersive film showcasing its rich history. Highlights include a restored and uprated E-type ZP Edition from Jaguar Classic and the 1988 Le Mans-winning XJR-9 LM, which will take on the hillclimb.

Jaguar TCS Racing’s Electrifying Presence

Jaguar TCS Racing will exhibit an all-electric Formula E racecar on the hill climb on July 12 and 13, ahead of the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship finale in London on July 20-21.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed promises to be a thrilling celebration of automotive excellence, with Defender OCTA leading the charge in an exhilarating display of performance and innovation.
