Nürburgring, Germany – BMW M Motorsport has taken the wraps off the new BMW M4 GT3 EVO, the latest iteration of their flagship GT racing model. Presented on Wednesday evening at the M Showroom on the ring°boulevard, just ahead of the prestigious 24 Hours of Nürburgring, this upgraded version is set to compete starting in the 2025 racing season.
Engineering Excellence: Listening to Drivers and Teams
BMW M Motorsport engineers have focused on feedback from teams and drivers to enhance the BMW M4 GT3. Prioritizing drivability, efficiency, and reliability over sheer performance, the EVO model has undergone extensive testing, particularly by BMW M works drivers Jens Klingmann (Germany), Bruno Spengler (Canada), and Augusto Farfus (Brazil). The result is a car that is more finely tuned for the demands of competitive racing. Priced at 578,000 euros net, the BMW M4 GT3 EVO reflects significant advancements.
Evolutionary Upgrades: Aerodynamics and Efficiency
Externally, the EVO model features noticeable chassis changes, including a lighter cathodic dip coating instead of traditional paint. The vehicle sports smaller aero mirrors, larger air outlets on the front wheel arches, and an optimized rear wing for improved aerodynamic efficiency. Mechanical upgrades include new anti-roll bars on both axles, larger rear brake discs, and a more adjustable differential, all contributing to reduced tire and brake wear. Additionally, the car boasts new LCI design headlights.
Bold New Design: The “Inception” Aesthetic
The BMW M4 GT3 EVO’s design integrates themes of digitality and dimensionality through a high-contrast mosaic pattern, featuring the iconic M colors in a three-dimensional format. An asymmetrical layout includes a non-reflective matte black section in front of the driver to enhance focus. The design also allows the carbon fiber construction to be visible, reducing weight.
