In a significant expansion of its network in Tamil Nadu, Volkswagen India has launched a new city store in Chennai, marking another milestone in the automaker’s strategy to enhance accessibility and service for its customers. With this latest addition, Volkswagen’s network in Tamil Nadu now boasts 26 sales and 20 service facilities spread across 21 cities.
Located strategically in Ambattur, the Chennai facility showcases a five-car display that includes the highly acclaimed, 5-star Global NCAP-rated Volkswagen Virtus, Taigun, and the flagship Tiguan. This expansion is part of Volkswagen’s broader aim to make its portfolio of safe vehicles more accessible to customers across India, with the network now spanning 155 cities.
The inauguration event was led by Arun Uppuswamy, Director of KUN Capital Motors, who emphasized the dealership’s commitment to offering top-tier products and services. The facility is equipped with a dedicated workshop featuring 25 service bays to meet customer service and spares requirements effectively.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India, highlighted the importance of the Chennai Metropolitan Area as a vital market for the brand. “In 2023, our Virtus model became one of the highest-selling sedans in this market. The new city store reiterates our commitment to meeting the increasing demand for premium, safe, and reliable vehicles in India,” Gupta stated.
This new touchpoint in Chennai not only enhances Volkswagen’s presence in Tamil Nadu but also introduces new service options such as express service and doorstep services through the Mobile Service Unit and Volkswagen Assistance.
The showroom also introduces customers to the Taigun GT Line and Taigun GT Plus Sport, further enriching the Volkswagen experience. With this launch, Volkswagen continues to strengthen its service network and customer relationships in India, ensuring a more comprehensive and accessible automotive experience.
