New Delhi, April 1, 2024 – Kia India has unveiled the 2024 refreshed Seltos, enriching the popular SUV lineup with the introduction of two new variants and a host of premium features across its range. The new petrol and diesel mid variants, priced at INR 15.4 and 16.9 lakhs respectively, aim to bolster the brand’s presence in the competitive SUV segment.
The addition of the Petrol G1.5 HTK+ IVT and Diesel 1.5L CRDi VGT HTK+ 6AT variants comes as part of Kia’s strategy to offer a more diverse and feature-packed product lineup. Significant upgrades have been made to the HTK+ variant, introducing luxury amenities such as a Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof, Paddle Shifters, and Star Map LED-connected tail lamps, which were previously available only in higher trims.
The 2024 Seltos now spans 26 trims, starting from the entry-level HTE variant, which has been updated with five new body colors and essential features for modern-day convenience. The HTK variant has also seen improvements, now including Star Map LED DRLs, and a Smart Key system with push-button start/stop functionality.
One of the most noteworthy enhancements across the Seltos lineup is the integration of premium features into the mid-range variants, acknowledging the growing demand for higher-end amenities in this segment. The top variants, beginning from HTX, have been upgraded with all-doors power window auto up/down and voice command features, elevating the luxury quotient of the vehicle.
Reflecting on the launch, Myung-sik Sohn, Chief Sales and Business Officer at Kia India, highlighted the brand’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of new-age customers in India. “The affection India has for the Seltos is inspiring, and we are committed to continuously improving our offerings. The 2024 refresh includes significant enhancements to our most beloved variant, the HTK+, making it even more appealing with top-end features,” said Sohn.
With the refreshed lineup, Kia aims to capture a larger share of the SUV market by catering to the increasing demand for automatic transmission variants and integrating new features across the board. Starting at 10.89 lakhs (Ex-Showroom Pan India), the 2024 Seltos is positioned to strengthen Kia’s foothold in the Indian automotive market, with sales expected to grow further due to these strategic updates.
