Gordon Murray’s Supercar Circus Rolls into Riyadh: V12 Engines, Flying Laps, and a Trio of Automotive Unicorns

British Engineering Marvels Make Grand Entrance in Saudi Arabia with T.50, T.50s Niki Lauda, and T.33 Spider at Seven Concours 2024

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – In what can only be described as a petrolhead’s dream come true, Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) has descended upon Riyadh with a trio of its most breathtaking supercars for their first-ever showcase in Saudi Arabia. The event, taking place at the prestigious Seven Concours 2024, promises to be a spectacle of speed, sound, and unparalleled engineering.

Leading the pack is the T.50, a supercar that redefines the term “driver’s car” with its manual 670 PS powerhouse and a central driving position that puts its pilot squarely in control. This machine isn’t just about the numbers; it’s a statement on wheels, boasting the most advanced aerodynamics seen on a road-going car, complete with a 400 mm fan that could probably suck the car to the ceiling if it wanted to.

Not to be outshone, the T.50s Niki Lauda edition is ready to scream its V12 heart out at 12,100 rpm for all of Riyadh to hear. With only 25 of these track beasts in existence, each costing a cool £3.1m, it’s as exclusive as a private audience with the Queen. This car doesn’t just go fast; it’s a sonic boom on wheels, designed to make every other supercar sound like it’s whispering.

Completing GMA’s holy trinity is the T.33 Spider, a car so pretty it could make a grown man cry. It’s an open-top marvel that promises the wind in your hair and the symphony of its 617 PS V12 engine in your ears, all the way up to 11,000 rpm. It’s not just a car; it’s an experience, crafted for those who think a drive isn’t complete without a bit of sunburn and the perfect soundtrack.

Phillip Lee, the CEO of Gordon Murray Group, alongside racing legend and GMA Executive Product and Brand Director, Dario Franchitti MBE, are in Riyadh to meet and greet the fans and customers. Lee emphasized the significance of their customers in Saudi Arabia and nearby countries, expressing excitement over bringing GMA’s masterpieces to the region for the first time.

Each car in the lineup showcases GMA’s obsession with lightweight, high-performance engineering, and practicality. Yes, you read that right – practicality, with the T.50 offering 295 litres of luggage space, presumably for those who like their weekend getaways at warp speed.

The SEVEN Concours 2024 is set to be a week-long festival of speed, luxury, and engineering prowess, with GMA taking center stage in the VIP area. If you’re in Riyadh and you hear what sounds like a fighter jet, don’t panic – it’s probably just the T.50s warming up its engines.

So, buckle up, Riyadh. The British are coming, and they’re bringing with them a spectacle of speed and engineering marvels that promise to make this a week to remember.
