In a stunning display of automotive alchemy, SlyStyle Performance has transformed the Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray Cabriolet into an American dream machine. Known for their deft touch with the latest Chevrolet Camaro, SlyStyle, based in Krefeld, has shifted gears to the Corvette, America’s sports car icon, and the results are nothing short of breathtaking.
The C8 Stingray convertible now proudly sports a look that’s as American as apple pie. Decked in Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic, with an interior swathed in Adrenaline Red Nappa leather and shining alloy rims, it’s a rolling tribute to the stars and stripes.
Certified by both TÜV and the German Motor Transport Authority (KBA), SlyStyle Performance has equipped this unabashedly American convertible with a Z06-inspired body kit developed in-house. This includes a Z06-style front apron, side flaps, rear apron with diffusor fins, and a striking rear wing that would make an eagle jealous. SlyStyle’s attention to detail extends to the dynamic pressure-reducing air duct behind the front grille and the almost invisible mounting clips for the rear plate.
The Corvette’s wheel wells house custom-finished TwentyOne rims by Schmidt, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires, offering a perfect blend of style and performance. For those who like to hug the ground, SlyStyle presents a suspension lowering kit for those with factory-fitted front lift systems or the Z51 package.
SlyStyle doesn’t stop at aesthetics. They’ve turbocharged the braking system with Stahlflex brake lines and ceramic brake linings, reducing rim soiling and enhancing stopping power.
Under the hood, SlyStyle has worked its magic on the 6.2-liter V8 LT2 engine. The standard 482 hp and 613 Nm get a boost to a breathtaking 510 hp and 630 Nm, thanks to a Stage 4 tuning package featuring a GM throttle body, ported intake manifold, and an Eventuri carbon fiber intake system. This powerhouse now sprints from 100 to 200 km/h in a mere 8.5 seconds.
The C8 Stingray’s soundtrack is customizable too. SlyStyle offers sound modifications to the OEM valve exhaust system, with options ranging from a high-frequency “Italo” style to a deeper “Muscle Car” growl. And for those who like to take control, there’s a manual valve control system for individual exhaust tuning.
Inside, the C8 convertible is a symphony of luxury and high-tech. GT2 sports seats, a carbon fiber and leather steering wheel with shift light display, and carbon fiber elements throughout the interior speak of SlyStyle’s commitment to excellence and detail. The cherry on top? A convertible roof that opens with a touch or remotely, courtesy of a SlyStyle roof module.
SlyStyle Performance isn’t putting on the brakes just yet. Their future plans include a unique rim design, discussions on gull-wing doors with TÜV, and a tantalizing bi-turbo upgrade for the LT2 engine. For Corvette enthusiasts, the future looks fast and furious, with a distinct SlyStyle flair.
