Stuttgart, Germany – In an electrifying twist to its lineup, Porsche AG has unveiled the all-new Macan 4 and Macan Turbo, marking a significant shift in its SUV segment. Ten years after the debut of its popular Macan series, Porsche is plugging into the future with these all-electric wonders.
The 2024 models are not just any electric vehicles; they are powerhouses with up to 470 kW (639 PS) engines, promising a zesty ride on any terrain. What’s more? These green machines offer an impressive electric range of up to 613 km, ensuring that your eco-friendly journey doesn’t fall short on adventure.
Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, couldn’t contain his excitement at the world premiere in Singapore, stating, “We are taking the Macan to a completely new level – with exceptional E-Performance, the new Driver Experience, and a very impressive design.”
With a striking design that screams Porsche, these SUVs maintain their sporty edge while embracing sustainable technology. The new Macan models are fitted with the latest generation of PSM electric motors on both front and rear axles, ensuring top-tier efficiency and power. The Macan 4 boasts a 300 kW (408 PS) output, while the Turbo version ramps it up to a formidable 470 kW (639 PS).
The heart of these electric beasts is a lithium-ion battery with a gross capacity of 100 kWh, part of the newly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with an 800-volt architecture. Charging is lightning-quick, with the ability to juice up from 10 to 80 percent in just about 21 minutes at fast-charging stations.
But it’s not just about power. The Macan exudes elegance and practicality, thanks to its sporty proportions, coupé-like lines, and up to 22-inch wheels. The interior is equally impressive, with a spacious design and high-quality equipment. Plus, the luggage space has seen a significant increase, adding to its everyday usability.
The driving experience is enhanced with high computing power and connectivity, featuring up to three screens, including a 12.6-inch curved-design instrument cluster. The new-generation infotainment system, based on Android Automotive OS, ensures that drivers and passengers are always connected and entertained.
Porsche hasn’t forgotten about driving dynamics either. With features like rear-axle steering, two-valve dampers, and electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management (ePTM), the Macan promises an exhilarating driving experience, true to the Porsche DNA.
