In a spectacle combining tradition and modern marvels, the skies above Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya turned into a canvas of colors today. At precisely 12:20 PM, millions of rose petals rained down, courtesy of two Indian Air Force HAL Dhruv helicopters, adding a fragrant flourish to the historic consecration ceremony of the temple.
The grandeur of the event reached new heights as Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Shri Ramlalla at the newly erected Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir. “After centuries of patience and sacrifice, our Lord Ram has finally arrived,” exclaimed an elated PM Modi, as he addressed the sea of devotees gathered for the occasion.
The Prime Minister, visibly moved, shared his experience of divine connection within the temple’s inner sanctum, ‘Garbh Grih’. He spoke of an energy that resonated through his being and a mind wholly dedicated to the sacred moment. “Our Ram Lalla will no longer dwell in a tent. This magnificent temple is his new abode,” PM Modi declared, his words echoing the sentiments of millions of Ram Bhakts across the globe.
Highlighting the significance of the day, PM Modi said, “22nd January 2024 isn’t just a date; it marks the beginning of a new era, a new ‘kaal chakra’. The nation’s mood has been jubilant since the Bhoomi Pujan, and the temple’s progress has infused new vitality among our people.” The Prime Minister emphasized that this day, destined to be discussed for millennia, is a testament to the blessings of Lord Ram.
Meanwhile, the HAL Dhruv helicopters, named after the Sanskrit word for ‘firm’ or ‘unshakeable’, played their part in this historic moment. These helicopters, a product of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), have been a testament to India’s aeronautical prowess since their induction in 2002. As they hovered above, showering petals, they symbolized the blending of India’s rich heritage with its technological advancements.
Today’s event, marked by the descent of petals from the skies and the uplifting speeches, has not just been a celebration of faith and culture. It represents a nation’s journey towards intertwining its glorious past with a forward-looking present, etching an indelible memory in the annals of time.
