This highly anticipated launch, set in the vibrant city of Mumbai, marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards sustainable transportation.
The Punch.ev, a marvel of modern automotive engineering, is the inaugural offering built on the company’s innovative Pure EV architecture, known as acti.ev. This vehicle is more than just a means of transport; it is a symbol of eco-consciousness, advanced technology, and affordability, with a starting price of just INR 10.99 Lakh. The SUV comes in three unique personas – Smart, Adventure, and Empowered, each tailored to meet the diverse needs of today’s drivers.
TPEM’s Managing Director, Shailesh Chandra, expressed his enthusiasm at the launch, stating, “The arrival of Punch.ev signifies a historic leap in India’s EV journey. The Punch.ev is not just another addition to Tata’s EV lineup; it represents a profound shift in consumer lifestyle and preferences. It combines the trustworthiness of the Punch brand with cutting-edge electric vehicle technology, promising a superior zero-emission driving experience.
The vehicle comes in two battery pack options – 25 kWh and 35 kWh – offering impressive ranges of 315 km and 421 km, respectively. These are complemented by two e-Drive options, ensuring a blend of power and efficiency. Moreover, the Punch.ev boasts advanced features like IP67-rated battery packs and motors, a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 km, and fast-charging capabilities.
In a bid to integrate technology seamlessly, the Punch.ev features innovative design elements like bi-functional LEDs, smart lighting systems, and a welcoming signature. The in-cabin experience is elevated with dual 26cm high-definition screens, a Phy-gital control panel, and multiple connectivity options, including the “Hey Tata” voice assistant.
