Nissan Motor India Ends 2025 on an Export High, Sets Stage for a Busy 2026 Product Offensive

Record exports, steady domestic volumes and a packed launch calendar signal Nissan’s renewed India push—with a bit of passport-stamping humour.

Gurugram:
Nissan Motor India wrapped up calendar year 2025 with a strong December performance, powered largely by exports that would make even frequent flyers jealous. The company recorded 13,470 export shipments in December 2025, its highest monthly export volume in over a decade. Add domestic wholesale numbers of 1,902 units, and total consolidated sales stood at 15,372 units for the month—clearly underlining the growing muscle of Nissan’s Made-in-India, export-led strategy.

Exports continue to be Nissan India’s star performer, and December proved that Indian-built Nissans are happily racking up air miles across global markets. With India firmly positioned as a manufacturing and export hub, Nissan closed CY2025 with momentum—and a packed to-do list for 2026.

Commenting on the year-end performance, Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said CY2025 was a year of consolidation, supported by steady domestic demand and record exports led by the New Nissan Magnite. He highlighted that 2025 also laid the foundation for Nissan’s next growth phase, marked by the design deep-dive and name reveals of the upcoming Tekton C-SUV and Gravite, clearly signalling a product-led resurgence for the brand in India.

And yes, the calendar ahead looks anything but quiet.

Nissan’s Made-in-India product offensive officially begins on January 21, 2026, with the launch of the Gravite 7-seater B-MPV, aimed squarely at high-volume family segments. This will be followed by the global reveal of the Nissan Tekton 5-seater C-SUV on February 4, 2026, while a 7-seater C-SUV is lined up for 2027, further strengthening Nissan’s presence in fast-growing SUV categories. True to Nissan’s “One Car, One World” philosophy, upcoming models—including the Tekton—will not only serve Indian buyers but also be exported to select global markets.

Backing this product push is a parallel expansion of Nissan’s retail and aftersales footprint. The company plans to scale up its nationwide dealer network to 250 showrooms by the end of FY2027, improving accessibility and ownership experience. Recent additions include modern 3S facilities in Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) and Hoshiarpur (Punjab), signalling a sharper focus on customer reach beyond metros.

Exports remain Nissan Motor India’s strongest growth pillar. In 2025, the company crossed the landmark of 1.2 million cumulative vehicle exports from India, with the New Nissan Magnite now reaching 65+ international markets. Since its 2020 launch, the Magnite also crossed 200,000 cumulative sales in 2025—proof that compact SUVs with big ambitions travel well.

The Magnite continues to stand out with a GNCAP 5-star safety rating, 40+ standard safety features, and an industry-first 10-year warranty, reinforcing Nissan’s focus on safety, reliability and long-term ownership peace of mind.

As Nissan Motor India steps into 2026, the roadmap is clear: more products, more exports, more dealerships—and fewer excuses to stay still. If 2025 was about consolidation, 2026 looks set to be the year Nissan shifts gears, tightens seatbelts, and reminds everyone that Made-in-India can also mean Made-for-the-World.
