Volvo EX30 Parks Luxury Under ₹40 Lakh – But Only If You’re Quick!

Gurugram: Volvo Car India has pulled off what can only be described as the automotive equivalent of a Diwali dhamaka. The Swedish brand today announced the arrival of its chicest and greenest creation yet — the Volvo EX30 — with an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹41,00,000. But here’s the twist: if you pre-reserve before 19th October 2025, you can snag one for ₹39,99,000. Yes, Volvo has officially weaponized FOMO.

The EX30 isn’t just another pretty face. Winner of the Red Dot Award: Best of the Best Product Design 2024 and crowned World Urban Car of the Year 2024, this compact EV already has more trophies than your average IPL team’s cabinet. And now, it’s rolling into India with enough sustainability credentials to make a bamboo toothbrush feel insecure.

Scandi Chic Meets Indian Streets

Locally assembled at Volvo’s Hosakote plant in Bengaluru (because importing cool is so last decade), the EX30 comes in five colors, all of which scream “minimalist luxury.” The cabin? A Pinterest board come alive: recycled denim, PET bottles, and even PVC pipes have been reincarnated into chic interiors. Marie Kondo would approve.

The EX30 also promises 480 km range (WLTP), 272 horses, and 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. In other words, it’s fast enough to impress your neighbour with the German SUV but guilt-free enough to let you brag about saving the planet.

Safety That Borders on Psychic

Volvo didn’t forget its calling card — safety. The EX30 packs tech like Intersection Auto-Brake, door-opening alerts (so you don’t door a biker), and enough radars, cameras, and sensors to make it seem clairvoyant. Add a Euro NCAP five-star rating, and suddenly your in-laws feel safer sitting in your car than in their own house.

Festival of Features

Inside, you get a Harman Kardon soundbar so powerful that your playlists will sound like a live concert. A 12.3-inch display with Google Built-in, 5G connectivity, and OTA updates ensures your car knows more about the world than your uncle with WhatsApp University. And yes, the panoramic sunroof is big enough for you to point at and declare: “Ye hai luxury.”

Volvo is sweetening the deal further with a hassle-free ownership package: 3 years warranty, 3 years service, 3 years roadside assistance, 8 years battery warranty, and even a wall box charger — basically, everything except someone to drive it for you.

The MD Speaks

“We are thrilled to introduce the Volvo EX30 to the Indian market at such an exciting price point, with special benefits for those who pre-reserve,” said Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director, Volvo Car India. “We believe this model will make luxury EVs irresistible to a new generation of innovators and achievers.”
