From Sirens to Syros: Kia Puts Police and Paramilitary Families in the Driver’s Seat

NEW DELHI: Kia India has just turned its partnership with Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar (KPKB) into a full-fledged motorcade. The carmaker’s sub-compact SUV Kia Syros and the newly launched Kia Carens Clavis can now be purchased by police and paramilitary personnel through the KPKB network. Translation: even off-duty heroes can now enjoy their family mover or sub-compact SUV at exclusive prices—without having to flash a siren.

With this move, Kia’s entire ICE line-up—Seltos, Sonet, Carens, Syros, and Carens Clavis—is now available under KPKB. This means that while personnel are keeping the nation safe, their families can cruise around in segment-leading comfort, connected features (hello, OTA updates), and bold Kia design that’s more striking than a red-blue beacon.

The initiative stretches across 119 master canteens and 1,871 subsidiary canteens, serving over 35 lakh beneficiaries from police and paramilitary forces. To keep things smooth, 362 Kia dealerships have enlisted in the program, offering a total of 92 different trims. (That’s more options than a police officer has excuses for pulling you over.)

Atul Sood, Sr. VP, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said: “We are honored to strengthen our partnership with Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar and extend Kia’s complete ICE line-up to the courageous police and paramilitary personnel, as well as their families. This initiative underscores our commitment to delivering advanced, safe, and sustainable mobility solutions to those who protect and serve the nation.”

For the record, KPKB was established in 2006 by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs as a welfare initiative for the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles, and other Central Police Organizations. Now, alongside subsidized groceries, personnel can also drive home with a shiny Kia—and that’s one perk no bulletproof vest can compete with.
