Inflation in the Fast Lane: Audi India to Shift Gears with a 2% Price Bump from May 15

Mumbai: In a move that’s bound to make both wallets and speedometers twitch, Audi India has announced a price hike of up to 2% across its entire model lineup, effective May 15, 2025. Citing the one-two punch of increasing input costs and an uncooperative exchange rate, the German marque is rolling out what it calls a “necessary adjustment” to maintain smooth financial cruising.

Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, commented with characteristic German precision: “This correction is essential for Audi India and our dealer partners to ensure sustainable growth. We remain committed to minimising the impact on our valued customers.” (Translation: Yes, it’s more expensive—but we promise it’s still worth it.)

From the suave Audi A4 to the shockingly quick RS e-tron GT, no quattro will be left untouched. Whether you’re a fan of petrol-powered elegance like the Q5 or chasing volts in the Q8 e-tron, the price of premium motoring is shifting up a notch.

Audi’s current India lineup includes the A4, A6, Q3, Q3 Sportback, Q5, Q7, Q8, S5 Sportback, RS Q8, Q8 e-tron, Q8 Sportback e-tron, e-tron GT and the high-voltage RS e-tron GT. While the features stay top-shelf, the ex-showroom price tags will need just a little more horsepower—from your bank account.

So if you’re looking to drive off in German luxury before prices rise—tick tock, the 15th looms. After that, even “Vorsprung durch Technik” will cost just a little more ‘technisch’.
