Increased range, power, and dynamic design updates define Porsche’s latest additions to the Taycan lineup, including an all-new GTS edition and the first all-wheel-drive entry-level model.
As 2024 unfolds, Porsche has introduced three new models to the Taycan lineup, solidifying its commitment to electric innovation. The second generation of the Taycan now boasts 16 distinct versions, each designed to cater to a diverse range of performance enthusiasts. Porsche’s latest additions include the refreshed Taycan GTS sports sedan and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, along with the all-new Taycan 4, the first entry-level Taycan with all-wheel drive.
With three body styles, a choice between all-wheel and rear-wheel drives, and electric power ranging from 300 to 760 kW, the Taycan lineup now offers unprecedented customization options. The Taycan 4 and both versions of the Taycan GTS are available to order immediately, with showroom availability slated for early 2025.
In addition to expanded model options, Porsche has introduced new colors for the Taycan, with Slate Grey Neo, Pale Blue Metallic, and Purple Sky Metallic adding fresh, unique choices.
The New Taycan GTS: A Legendary Return to Form
The Taycan GTS, bearing the iconic “Gran Turismo Sport” badge, brings a sporty edge with an overboost power output of up to 515 kW when using Launch Control, offering 75 kW more than its predecessor. A new “push-to-pass” function, exclusive to the standard Sport Chrono package, provides an additional 70 kW boost on demand for quick bursts of power. This, combined with a refined sound profile and enhanced torque at low speeds, delivers a thrilling driving experience that pays homage to Porsche’s GTS heritage.
Performance has been further improved, with the GTS accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. The range has been extended by over 120 kilometers, reaching up to 628 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. Visually, the Taycan GTS sports distinctive black and Anthracite Grey accents and offers the option of 20- or 21-inch wheels.
The interior of the Taycan GTS exudes luxury and performance, featuring Porsche’s high-end Race-Tex materials, a GT multifunction sports steering wheel, and adaptive sports seats. Enhanced ride dynamics, courtesy of a GTS-specific chassis and optional rear-axle steering, add further agility and stability to the Taycan GTS, making it one of the sportiest in its class.
The Taycan 4: Efficiency Meets All-Wheel Drive
The new Taycan 4 combines the high efficiency of Porsche’s entry-level model with all-wheel-drive capabilities. With two power options—standard and Performance Battery Plus—the Taycan 4 offers an impressive range of up to 643 kilometers. This new all-wheel-drive model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, providing enhanced stability, traction, and efficiency.
Outfitted with standard 19-inch aero wheels, matrix LED headlights, and a Dark Silver accent package, the Taycan 4 maintains Porsche’s sleek aesthetic. Inside, standard comfort seats, partial leather trim, and a Sound Package Plus elevate the driving experience, while Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) ensure smooth handling.
High-Tech Enhancements Across the Range
All Taycan models benefit from Porsche’s advanced upgrades, including a new rear-axle motor and optimized software for greater power, extended range, faster acceleration, and reduced charging times. Porsche’s 800-volt charging capability allows the Taycan to charge at up to 320 kW, with recuperation rates during deceleration reaching 400 kW, ensuring both performance and efficiency.
These 2024 enhancements reflect Porsche’s dedication to evolving its electric performance lineup, offering customers options that blend luxury, innovation, and environmental consciousness across a versatile and comprehensive model range.
