Aston Martin’s New Vanquish Stuns at Venice Lagoon Premiere Amidst Star-Studded Gala

Luxury carmaker unveils its new V12 flagship at a dazzling event during the Venice Film Festival, blending automotive artistry with Hollywood glamour.

Venice, Italy – Aston Martin turned the spotlight on its newest V12 masterpiece, the Vanquish, in an unforgettable reveal on the waters of the Venetian Lagoon. The prestigious launch took place against the shimmering backdrop of the Venice International Film Festival, drawing luminaries from the worlds of film, fashion, and the arts to celebrate the arrival of the brand’s newest front-engine sports car.

Hosted at the historic Marina Militare and attended by an elite guest list, the event showcased Aston Martin’s Vanquish, marking a significant moment in the brand’s 111-year history. The setting, rich in cultural heritage, was perfectly aligned with the brand’s focus on luxury, innovation, and timeless craftsmanship.

Stars from the silver screen graced the occasion, with Academy Award winners George Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas, Kevin Costner, and Adrien Brody making appearances. The glittering guest list also included James Bond actor Daniel Craig, alongside British stars Joe Alwyn and Micheal Ward, adding to the excitement surrounding the car’s unveiling. In a nod to Aston Martin’s iconic relationship with the James Bond franchise, the Vanquish once again took center stage as an automotive marvel.

Adding musical flair to the evening, Grammy-nominated artist Masego, Italian jazz sensation Walter Ricci, and DJ James Righton performed during a dazzling cocktail reception. Guests indulged in a gourmet dining experience crafted by Michelin-starred restaurant Dolada, known for its responsible sourcing from the nearby Italian countryside.

In this storied venue, which once served as the heart of Venetian shipbuilding innovation in the Middle Ages, Aston Martin revealed the Vanquish as a symbol of the brand’s future. Formula One drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso delivered the big reveal just one day after the Italian Grand Prix, highlighting the brand’s synergy between the racetrack and the road.

Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll heralded the Vanquish as a defining moment for the brand’s new generation, stating, “The Vanquish embodies the pinnacle of luxury and performance, marking the completion of our most advanced portfolio yet.” Limited to just 1,000 units annually, the Vanquish will feature a bespoke 12-cylinder engine and promises to be the most exclusive in Aston Martin’s range.

This third iteration of the Vanquish revives a nameplate synonymous with cinematic prestige, famously driven by James Bond in Die Another Day. With its breathtaking design and state-of-the-art engineering, the 2024 Vanquish is set to continue its legacy both on-screen and on the road, cementing Aston Martin’s place at the intersection of luxury and high-performance automotive innovation.
