Lamborghini Ushers in a New Era with Temerario: A Hybrid Marvel Replacing the Iconic Huracán

Sant’Agata Bolognese/Carmel-By-The-Sea, 17 August 2024 – In a landmark reveal at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week, Lamborghini has introduced the world to its latest masterpiece: the Temerario. This cutting-edge hybrid super sports car marks a pivotal moment in the brand’s storied history, succeeding the legendary Huracán and setting a new standard in performance and innovation.

The Temerario, equipped with a twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine, is a testament to Lamborghini’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of what a supercar can be. Boasting a staggering 920 CV, the vehicle accelerates from 0-62 mph in a mere 2.7 seconds and can reach speeds exceeding 210 mph (340 km/h). It is the first production super sports car engine capable of achieving 10,000 rpm—a feat typically reserved for the most elite motorsports.

This new addition is not just a successor but a leap forward in Lamborghini’s electrification journey. The Temerario is the second model in the brand’s High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) lineup and represents the completion of Lamborghini’s hybridization across its entire product range, following the earlier introductions of the Revuelto and Urus SE.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, highlighted the significance of the Temerario’s debut, stating, “With the Temerario, we’ve redefined the possibilities of a mid-engine sports car. This vehicle not only surpasses its predecessor, the Huracán, in every measurable aspect but also completes our vision of a fully hybridized product line under our Direzione Cor Tauri strategy.”

In addition to the Temerario, Lamborghini showcased its complete hybrid lineup at Monterey Car Week, featuring the Revuelto with its 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 1,015 CV and a top speed of 217 mph, and the Urus SE, a super SUV powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine with 800 CV and a top speed of 194 mph.

As part of its forward-looking approach, Lamborghini also launched the Temerario in the digital world through the Lamborghini Lab on Roblox. This virtual platform allows enthusiasts to customize their own Temerario using Lamborghini’s Ad Personam options and test their creation on the track in a fully immersive experience.

The Temerario’s unveiling not only marks the end of an era for the Huracán but also solidifies Lamborghini’s position as a leader in the future of luxury automotive innovation.
