Mercedes-Benz has announced significant upgrades to its Small Vans lineup, catering to both private and commercial customers. The new models, including the long-wheelbase versions of the EQT and eCitan Tourer, offer increased space, flexibility, and advanced features.
Expanded Space and Seating Options
The long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz EQT and eCitan Tourer are now available with up to seven seats, thanks to an extended wheelbase of 38 centimeters. These models are designed to accommodate larger families, active lifestyle enthusiasts, and tradespeople. The second and third rows feature individually adjustable and foldable seats, enhancing interior versatility. Additionally, these models support the i-Size standard for child seats, providing up to six child seat attachments.
Versatility for Commercial Use
The Citan Mixto and its electric counterpart, the eCitan Mixto, offer a flexible interior layout ideal for commercial applications. The innovative Fold & Load function of the rear bench seat allows for quick transformation between passenger and cargo space. With the rear bench in its upright position, the load capacity increases to 3,200 liters.
Enhanced Connectivity and Comfort
All Mercedes-Benz Small Vans now come equipped with the latest MBUX multimedia system, featuring a 24.13-centimeter (9.5-inch) screen and a new steering wheel with touch control panels. The system includes improved computing power, optimized menu navigation, and wireless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The over-the-air (OTA) updates ensure that the system remains up-to-date with new features and software enhancements.
Improved Charging Capabilities
The all-electric Small Vans feature an electric motor with a peak output of 90 kW and a maximum torque of 245 Nm. They support AC charging via an onboard charger and fast DC charging, allowing for a 10 to 80 percent charge in just 38 minutes. The CCS charging socket is conveniently located under the Mercedes star in the radiator grille.
Upgraded Safety and Assistance Systems
Mercedes-Benz has expanded its safety and assistance features across the Small Vans lineup. Standard features now include Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Speed Limit Assist, and Traffic Sign Assist. Additionally, rearview cameras and parking assist systems are now standard, enhancing overall safety and convenience.
New Equipment Lines for Commercial Vans
The commercial vans’ equipment lines, Base and Pro, have been extended, and a new Select line has been introduced. The Base line now includes cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, and a reversing camera. The Pro line adds air conditioning, lumbar support, and Blind Spot Assist. The Select line, exclusive to the Citan and eCitan Panel Van, offers premium interior features and advanced lighting and parking assistance systems.
