The Ferrari Hublot Esports series opener which was held virtually and was filled with almost real tarmac tension and adrenaline till the last lap, all this for a position as an official driver at the coveted Ferrari Driver Academy. The virtual championship had two races in PRO and AM series each held on the punishing Monza circuit. Porsche has also joined TAG Heuer to start their own Esports Supercup.
The PRO series Championship race was won by French Arnaud Lacombe, the race itself was intense and had numerous duels and overtaking till the chequered flag . Italian driver Giovanni De Salvo took second and Polish Kamil Pawlowski came third in the gruelling virtual race.
The AM saw 24 drivers battle each other in duels and quite a lot of contacts, thankfully virtual. The Autodromo Nazionale di Monza served as the perfect track for the race which resulted in a victory for German Jarno Koch and followed by Venezuelan Gianfranco Giglioli and Andrea Benedetti from Italy. The drivers will next race on sunday at Zandvoort, the iconic Dutch circuit battling each other to gain points for the Ferrari Hublot Esports championship.
The race in Zandvoort and Nurburgring after that will be live telecasted by the official channels of Ferrari Hublot Esports series in Twitch, YouTube, Facebook and official website alongside commentary from FIA Formula E commentator Nicki Shields and Paul Jeffrey, another established voice in motorsports.
