Volkswagen Approved Used overhauled to provide more benefits

Milton Keynes – Following its major rebranding earlier this year, Volkswagen Approved Used has enhanced its package of benefits, with an industry-leading bundle of incentives providing customers with peace of mind, convenience and value for money.

The ‘2+2+2’ programme now includes two years’ warranty cover, two years’ MOT, and two years’ roadside assistance complementing every Volkswagen Approved Used car sale, with two years of free servicing added for any Approved Used vehicle purchased using a Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) Solutions Personal Contract Plan.

The addition of these features across all Volkswagen Approved Used purchases is the most significant change to the scheme since its launch in 2011, providing benefits worth thousands of pounds in added value as standard to all Approved Used customers. The enhancement of this package ushers in a new era for the already award-winning scheme, and is a clear indication of the value Volkswagen places in Volkswagen Approved Used and its customers.

As of 1 November, the Volkswagen Approved Used package now covers two years’ warranty cover, two years’ MOT, two years’ roadside assistance and two services (for PCP customers).

This is in addition to the existing bundle, which includes: a 142-point check on each vehicle; a 30-day / 1,000-mile no quibble exchange policy; service history checks; independent vehicle history and mileage checks; and five days of complementary Volkswagen Drive Away insurance. The new package of benefits doubles the warranty, roadside assistance and MOT cover terms of those offered previously, representing considerable added value and peace of mind for every customer.

Under its former title, Das WeltAuto, Volkswagen Approved Used won multiple awards for its exemplary used car service, including ‘Used Car Programme of the Year’ from Car Dealer Magazine. It has twice been highly commended by the same publication since. The Volkswagen Approved Used programme has also, over the last four months, achieved record breaking results in both sales and market share.

Speaking at the official launch of the new programme, Barny Francis, National Used Car Manager at Volkswagen UK, said: “Today is a huge day for Volkswagen Approved Used – our industry-leading, enhanced bundle of benefits takes effect, with all customers of Volkswagen Approved Used now able to take advantage of the renewed package.
