This is the third and the most major update done to the Flying Spur and the first car for India has been seen driving on the roads.
The new Bentley Flying Spur has started deliveries across India and one such example has been caught cruising through the streets of Hyderabad in this image. The Flying Spur is now the sole foul-door sedan model from Bentley after the Mulsanne officially ended its decade long production run. The car seen here is finished in a shade of red and looks absolutely mesmerizing with the Bentley hood ornament which adorns the front.
The new Flying Spur is tauter, using the familiar heavy curves of the Bentley but shaped more aggressively giving the car a more commanding stature. Similar to the Continental GT, it has the new headlamps and the new grille which in this case has vertical slats that some may attribute to the brands intertwined history with Rolls-Royce. This also becomes the first Flying Spur in almost 70 years to be available with the Flying-B hood ornament.
On the inside Timelessness and British eloquence reside, the central dashboard is one single piece and has a flip side which can display the analog dials if the screen is too distracting for you. The car is contemporary by design and modern by features, it had wireless charging, USB ports. The dial section rotates to reveal a 12.3 inch infotainment screen and a touchscreen remote control for the rear passengers which allow them to control many systems across the car.
The Flying Spur comes with two engine options, the massive 6 litre W12 engine which makes 626 horsepower or a smaller V8 which makes 500 horsepower. The W12 can propel the car to 333 kmph while the smaller engine does it to 318 kmph. The engineers at the plant in Crewe fitted this car with All-Wheel drive, four wheel steering, multiple drive modes, better air springs and continuous damping all of which contributes to excellent ride comfort and unmatched performance.
This car as all others from Bentley offers comes with the full backing of Mulliner- the customization masters of Bentley who are capable of changing and updating each and every aspect of the car. The new Bentley Flying Spur is priced at INR 3.2 Crores for the V8 and INR 3.5 Crores for the W12 unit.
