After Ford India, German high-performance car brand Porsche India is the next to become victim of trending Instagram hack. Hacker has changed the profile logo to Instagram logo and has posted nine pictures of Instagram logos to make it look like a verified Instagram support page.

Hacker has also changed the profile description to, “From @instagram & @facebook This is an automated message sent to you. If you have infringed copyright, you will receive an automated message.” Profile link is now facebook.com/covidsupport (The link is also broken).

The blue tick verified Porsche India Instagram profile name is also changed to ‘Instagram Support’ however the username is still the same @porsche_in.

Several authoritative profiles are being targeted these days by hacker wherein they send fake links for Instagram copyright infringement or blue trick request form. People fill those forms by sharing their password & username and in seconds the account gets hacked. In such situations hacker either asks for money or send DMs to other users in order to hack them.

The copyright violation notification in DM is the latest way of phishing scam these days on Instagram. A few years back, the hackers tried to access different accounts by sending tempting phishing messages that promised the blue “Verified” account badge on Instagram.
