Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is going to open a new chapter for their excursion in space. Dr. Jitendra Singh [Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space] declared that ISRO is going to begin an all new facilities for the private sector for various space exploration and future planetary research. For the first time in history since independent India, future projects and outer space travel of ISRO will be open for private sectors. Dr. Jitendra Singh firmly said that this is an integral part of Modi government’s “Atmanirbhar” roadmap which plans to take spaceship towards privatization in India. This will help in creating synergy between the private and public sector towards the vision of making India self reliant on levels.
To be more precise, it can be described that Indian Private Organisation will work simultaneously with the Space Research sector’s journey. Private companies will be allowed to partake in various fields of space exploration such as Satellite launches and space-based activities.
The new reforms, as said Dr Jitendra Singh, will seek to shift the Space related activities in the country from “Supply Based Model” to a “Demand Based Model”. With the creation of Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), there will be some rules and regulations but along with that all the privet sectors will be allowed to use ISRO’s whole facilities and relevant technologies to improve their mechanism.
Dr. Singh also added that there will be a website through which all the start-ups and private sectors that are interested in this vertical can apply and those applications will be processed by a highly qualified team.
