With the intent of strengthening its presence in the Indian car market, Nissan has unveiled Magnite– a specimen of the car maker’s B-SUV segment. By innovation of the vehicle according to its Indian customer base and following the “Make in India, Make for the world” idea, Nissan has unified Japanese technology with Indian demand.
Nissan’s Next strategy, which targets the Indian market, has finally revealed its first ever model- the Nissan Magnite B-SUV. The company has always sought to bring forth newest technological advancements and applying those to its vehicles to empower and create innovations for its customers. With the Magnite, Nissan has once again set foot into this competitive market. The announcement of the upcoming reveal took place online via a global cybernetic event and featured top Nissan execs from Africa, Middle East and India and displayed the Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, Rakesh Srivastava driving the car. Keeping true to its vision of Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM), it has incorporated Japanese technology into this car in such a way that it caters to every single need of its Indian consumers, and provides cutting edge technological driving experience at the same time.
Designed and built to fit right in with the Indian vibe, it comes in nine body paint options; out of these- five are single shades while four are available in dual-tone options to enable customers to pick a colour they like and add their own personal touch to the car they will own. The standard Flare Garnet Red colour has been specifically chosen to give it a premium Indian feel. Its front grille, headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights and turn indicators that look like lightsabres add to its Indian inspired exterior appeal. The Indian vibe continues on the inside with special regard to Indian customer favourite- functionality and storage space. It also offers ultimate seating relief with a wide instrument panel and premium tech system, complete with a wireless charger, an air purifier, puddle lamps, mood lighting, and JBL fitted audio system. The interior is also extremely spacious with an increased couple distance of 700 mm. It also provides rear seat-like comfort and airiness to the front seat with its special design of the ‘one-class-above’ knee room and also has a humongous baggage volume of 336L.
Nissan has also equipped the B-SUV with its Around View Monitor, 7 inch TFT meter, tyre pressure monitoring system, and infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Nissan Connect. These top of the class technical packages allow the driver to stay in touch with everything happening around the vehicle while making the drive safer, stress-free and more enjoyable. Competent in its fuel usage, the HRA0 1.0 litre turbo engine gives a performance of 20 kmpl and comes with manual 5 speed and X-Tronic CVT gearbox. The engine’s efficient performance is also result of an application of the “mirror bore cylinder coating” technology and multiple enhancements. The Nissan Magnite has also been equipped with state-of-the-art features to keep passenger safety at the top. Bolstered with safety tech like Anti-lock Braking system, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Vehicle Dynamic Control and airbags etc. it ideally tries to prevent and reduce damage risk to the max.
