The Billionaire has provided for his security team with G 63 AMGs which are the amongst the most powerful SUVs in the world.
Billionaire Mukesh Ambani is the richest man in the country, and the second richest man in Asia, so it is no surprise that he has ample security with him. And it’s just not any security, Ambani and his family get ‘Z Plus’ grade security provided by CRPF-the Central Reserve Police Force, these commandos go through gruelling training and advanced VIP security courses. Being Ambani, it also makes sense that these commandos should travel in upmarket vehicles to escort the bosses luxury vehicles, but as is the norm with Billionaires the whole team is equipped with Mercedes G wagons, four of them!
The G-wagons are no ordinary models either they are the Mercedes-AMG G 63, which as can be seen in the footage are all in white. The car is powered by a 4 litre twin turbo V8 which is tuned by the engineers at AMG to produce a massive 577 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. And if you do not think that’s a lot, then comparing it to the Lamborghini Gallardo, the car produces more power than almost all models of the Gallardo ever made (The Superleggera made 562 hp). The car also comes with side mounted exhausts which are very loud when the throttle is put down.
The car that Ambani himself travels in currently is the Toyota Vellfire, which is strictly speaking one of the most luxurious vehicles that can be bought in the country, especially in the van form factor. The Japanese car is full of technology, from its hybrid engine that has two electric motors for the front and back to the three-zone climate control middle captain seats which are no less than a Private Jets seats. The car costs INR 86 Lakhs.
The G 63 AMG being used for the security may have technical reasons too, the car has its roots as a military vehicle and still carries forward the functional boxy design. With the power that it has, the car can accelerate to a hundred in almost 5 seconds, which is instrumental for security forces for reaction times in case of an emergency, notably the car is still made out of steel and is heavy- weighing 2.5 tons. This means that the doors are heavy and thick, and better suited to handling bullet impacts than many other SUVs, the G-Wagon is also an exceptionally maneuverable vehicle on tarmac.
And lastly, the motorcade of white G-Wagons escorting the Richest man in India instills a powerful image on whoever looks at it. The car is priced at INR 2.3 Crores.
