Ever since the MINI brand made its comeback in January 2002, the strictly limited GP special editions based on the John Cooper Works models have been the pinnacle of each MINI generation. Only 2,000 units were produced of the MINI Cooper S JCW GP 1 in 2006 and the MINI JCW GP 2 in 2012. Only 3,000 units were produced of the MINI JCW GP 3 launched in 2020 and were soon snapped up by the brand’s many fans. However, the MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 GP Inspired is even rarer still. Just 300 numbered units of this special edition based on the MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 were ever constructed – and these were only distributed in Japan, France and Switzerland. As a result, only 70 MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 GP Inspired were sold in Switzerland.

As the name suggests, the GP Inspired models feature more pronounced racing characteristics than the “normal” JCW models of this extravagant compact station wagon. For example, the GP Inspired models impress with front fenders bearing the edition number and finished in carbon fiber, unique Thunder Gray Metallic paintwork, a carbon-fiber air intake from JCW Pro Design with “GP Inspired” inscribed on the hood, a silver roof, red mirror caps, model-specific door sill panels and trim, plus a JCW Alcantara leather steering wheel and a John Cooper Works-style armrest with red stitching and an embroidered GP Inspired logo. And, as if this model wasn’t exclusive enough, the tuning experts at dAHLer Competition Line have made further visual and technical modifications to edition number 232/300.

Christopher Dähler’s team modified its 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine known for its use in the BMW M135i (F40), boosting its performance from the factory-set 306 hp and 450 Nm to 335 hp and 510 Nm. These modifications also include lifting the standard Vmax limit, meaning that the dAHLer Competition Line-MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 GP Inspired can reach around 265 km/h. In addition, the MINI’s turbo engine can now breathe more easily thanks to the carbon-fiber intake system from Eventuri. dAHLer Competition Line also fitted its stainless-steel twin-exhaust system “built by dAHLer” with CAN bus-controlled exhaust valves that further underscore the MINI’s striking sound. This MINI now roars and thunders out of its two ceramic-coated end pipes, which each have a chunky 114 mm diameter.

Of course, the drive system upgrades from dAHLer Competition Line have all been WLTP-E6d-tested and homologated for the EU and Switzerland, both individually and in combination. The wheel wells in the slightly restyled body of this special edition now house “dAHLer

CDC1 FORGED” rims measuring 8×20″ fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S high-performance tires measuring 245/30ZR20. And, naturally, this wheel/tire combination has received TÜV-approval for the MINI John Cooper Works Clubman ALL4 GP Inspired.

The same goes for the performance coilover suspension “built by dAHLer”, which offers adjustable compression and rebound stage settings and thus allows the driver to tailor the suspension set-up to their needs and preferences. Of course, all upgrades and modifications made to the GP Inspired special edition described here are also suitable and available for the standard MINI John Cooper Works
Clubman ALL4 model.
