The Maruti Suzuki Dzire (stylized as the Suzuki DZire, previously known as Suzuki Swift Dzire but still sold as Suzuki Swift sedan in some markets) is a subcompact sedan made for the Indian market since 2008. It was developed as a variation of the Suzuki Swift hatchback. The third generation, called Dzire, dropped the “Swift” nameplate, was launched on 16 May 2017, and is based on the fourth generation of the Suzuki Swift. The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is built on the HEARTECT platform sourced from the India-spec Baleno hatchback.
