A special edition of the famous Fiesta ST has been launched by Ford, out of the total 500 produced for Europe, 300 are reserved for UK customers. This special vehicle easily catches the eye with its distinctive Azura Blue paint job and the rear diffuser, roof spoiler and ST badges finished in a High Gloss Black shade. On the inside, it has been accessorised with a carbon fibre effect and blue stitching, and its new Ford Performance steering wheel enable any driver to access the Sport Drive Mode at the touch of a single button. Its individual qualities like a high class track performance which is a result of its adjustable suspension and aforementioned unique styling minutiae have led to this car being priced at £27,075 (Rs. 27.72 lakh). Ford has also created its finest yet driving experience with its enhanced designing on the coilover suspension and flow formed alloy wheels, which allow customisations in different areas and greater responsiveness.
Ford Performance Manager for Europe, Stefan Muenzinger said, “Our new Fiesta ST Edition squeezes even more excitement out of the best handling compact hot hatch on the road. The Edition model puts drivers firmly in control with the ability to manually adjust the feel of their car and fine tune the handling to suit their personal preference.” The Ford Fiesta ST Edition provides unmatched balance and control, courtesy of its suspension and wheels which have undergone extensive tests and developments to fine tune their abilities to the max. The driver is also able to rein its cornering response with help from the two-way adjustable coilover suspension system, twelve bump settings and sixteen rebound settings. Its wheels despite being comparatively light weight have a very high tensile strength making the car shock resistant to tough terrains. The front end traction and cornering ability have been enhanced with the Quaife limited slip differential to provide increased grip on different kinds and textures of surfaces.
This Edition model also offers three selectable drive modes to choose from- normal, sport and track. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in an astounding 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 232 km/h, made possible because of its 1.5 litre EcoBoost petrol engine which utilizes turbocharging, high-pressure fuel injection and twin independent variable cam timing. Its highly innovative design and body does not only save fuel, but has also significantly reduced CO2 emissions. The outer appearance of this car is further magnified because of its three door body style and unique finishing in Azura Blue and High Gloss Black. It is as beautiful on the inside as it is outside. Interior finishing with carbon fibre effect, chrome effect rings, leather finishing, floor mats and heated sport seats add to its aesthetic charm. The Fiesta special edition also offers a well-connected and spontaneous driving experience than ever before. The FordPass Connect modem helps in doing just that by assisting the driver, and when paired with STs SYNC 3 delivers a truly wonderful driving experience worthy of carrying the title ‘Ford Fiesta ST Special Edition’.
