Dongfend Yueda Kia Motors CO. (DYK) has revealed two of its new era vehicles the new Kia K5 as well as the new Kia Carnival at the 2020 Auto China in Beijing. The dual debut came as a result of gruelling hard work as well as huge focus on research and development. The design and features of both the Kia cars are set to aim at a young audience who were able to intermingle one on one with the manufacturers and get a first-hand experience of the models through the Auto China event. Made with cutting edge technological expertise, the K5 sedan and fourth gen carnival have breathed life into the unique brand voice of this car company. Kia Motors has also aimed at strengthening its TECH (turbo, electrification, connectivity, and hybrid) plan to ultimately lead the NEV (New Energy Vehicle) sector by 2030.
The Kia K5 is built with the vision of fulfilling each and every need of young Chinese as well as global population. It aims at successfully integrating every demand of its customers into this new one of a kind Sedan. Along with the debut of Kia K5, the auto brand also brought forth a show of its technical prowess with the i-GMP (innovative Global Modular Platform) which supports every Kia K5 that was manufactured in China. The quadruple armed robotic exhibit was choreographed in synchrony to a light show and made for an entertaining visitor attraction. Not only was it a thrilling three minute performance, it was also an iconic display of the scientific advancements made in the CVVD engine. The Head of Hyundai Motor Technology & Engineering Centre in China (HMTC), Sven Patuschka said, “The Kia Brand is back again. We in R&D have worked so hard to bring the Kia brand where it belongs: on the way to become China’s new trendsetter.”
The second star of the event was the fourth generation vehicle, Kia Carnival. It carried the car maker’s idea of using innovation, space, flexibility and style to create a Grand Utility Vehicle like no other. Supporting three and even as much as four rows of seats, this SUV motivated design is further reinforced with its state of the art in-car technology and enormous cargo volume. It also eases driving pressure with its strong and evolved gasoline engine and eight speed automatic transmission. This grand utility vehicle also flaunts Kia’s hallmark, the ‘tiger nose’ design across the front end. It makes the car look like a futuristic space age vehicle by fusing the LED daytime running lights and headlamps into the grille. The two cars weren’t the only things that Kia brought into the spotlight. It also launched the China Touring Car Championship (CTCC) race car which was also well received by all the guests. The high octane display featuring Kia’s K3 CTCC racer as well as the show stooping Kia K5 and Kia Carnival are perfect examples of Kia’s research and technical competence and have undoubtedly opened new doors for company’s new era and latest gen vehicles.
