This 2017 Acura NSX is the fourth example produced for the US market and was gifted by Jerry Seinfeld to late comedian and actor Bob Einstein, also known for portraying stuntman Super Dave Osborne. Finished in Nord Gray Metallic over a Saddle leather interior with Alcantara trim, the car now has just 2,600 miles and was delivered from the factory with more than $40k in options, including carbon-ceramic brakes, the Carbon Fiber Exterior Package, a carbon fiber roof, polished exclusive wheels, powered sport seats, an ELS Studio audio system, and additional carbon fiber in the cabin. Power is provided by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, which is mounted amidships and works in conjunction with an electric motor at each front wheel, as well as a third electric motor located between the engine and nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. This second-generation NSX is now offered on behalf of Einstein’s estate by a family friend with its window sticker, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
2017 was the debut year for the all-new NSX. Styling highlights include prominent side openings to feed the engine intakes and intercoolers, as well as hood ducting for the radiators and air conditioning condenser, and a full-width taillight above an integrated rear diffuser. This example is finished in Nord Gray Metallic and also features an optional carbon fiber roof panel, along with carbon fiber accents on the front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler.
The car utilizes a magnetorheological damper system for its double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension. Braking is handled by black multi-piston calipers paired with carbon-ceramic rotors, a $9,900 option when new. This car also features optional 19″ front and 20″ rear interwoven polished alloy wheels, which are mounted with Continental ContiSportContact tires.
The cabin is trimmed in Saddle leather and features black Alcantara accents throughout. This car is also optioned with the $2,900 Carbon Fiber Interior Sport Package. A sunroof was not offered on the NSX in order to retain structural rigidity.
Amenities include an ELS Studio surround sound system, powered and heated sport seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and a rearview camera system. A central knob switches the “Dynamic Mode” of the vehicle between softer and more performance-oriented settings. The nine-speed dual-clutch transmission can be shifted manually via paddles behind the steering wheel.
The twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 features dry-sump lubrication and is shrouded with a $3,600 optional carbon fiber cover. It was rated for 500 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 406 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm. This is combined with a mid-mounted electric motor producing 50 horsepower and 109 lb-ft of torque, plus an electric motor producing 54 lb-ft of torque at each front wheel. Total system output is 573 horsepower, which is put to the ground through Acura’s Super-Handling (SH) all-wheel-drive system. Independent testing showed 0-60 mph times of around three seconds, as well as quarter-mile times of approximately 11 seconds. The seller states that a new ignition battery was installed less than a month ago.
The window sticker lists delivery to Torrance, California along with more than $40k in optional equipment, leading to a total vehicle price of $200,500.
