The Black Badge edition is the pinnacle of luxury amongst SUVs, and this one is bespoke.
There are a few cars that can call themselves exorbitant beyond the normal rule, but the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is one such vehicle, everything about the car shouts extra. And the Black Badge edition is a notch above the standard ultra-luxury SUV and a car collector named Naseer Khan has just got his delivered in Hyderabad.
The Cullinan is no ordinary SUV, it is a Rolls-Royce and with the legendary RR badge comes the best luxury one can afford. The car is built around an aluminum space frame that the Phantom also uses, and has a double-wishbone front axle and 5-link rear axle. To give it the customary RR ‘Magic Carpet ride’ it has self-leveling air suspension, electronically controlled dampers and active roll bars. It even has four-wheel steering to improve handling.
The big car has a big engine, the 6.75 litre V12 that makes 563 horses mated to a 8-speed transmission. It can go flat out till 250 kmph. Now speaking of the Black Badge edition, which is a sort of superior trim offered on select models, as the name suggests the car is totally decked out in black inside and out, but can be customised to any shade that a customer chooses. RR offers a choice of 44,000 color options.
This edition also gets more noticeable accents on the exterior, like the yellow shade line that runs across the length of the car. On the inside, naked carbon fibre is used for a lot of surfaces surrounding the central console and the dashboard while the black is contrasted with the use of Forge Yellow. There is also the shooting star headliner, a Rolls special that makes any cloudy night travel a treat, there are also minute details like the crimson tipped dials, Infinity symbol peppered inside, the Black Badge also rides on distinct 22 inch alloys.
A true masterpiece from the British marque, and furthermore Naseer has customised his car with a lot of options the details of which are not known as of yet, but reportedly the car which is INR 8.2 Crores (Ex-Showroom) cost him a whopping INR 12 Crores. The Bespoke Cullinan Black Badge is a jewel in his collection which includes, RR Wraith, Mercedes-AMG G 63, Lamborghini Urus, Aventador, and a Ferrari 812 Superfast and other expensive cars.
