September 28, 2020 – Beijing, China: Honda – The Power of Dreams, displayed the world premiere of the Honda SUV e: concept at the most prestigious event, The Beijing International Automotive Exhibition which is also referred as the Auto China 2020.

This e: concept has been under discussion about a future bulk production tying up with Honda with its first Electronic Vehicle (EV) which is further to be introduced in China.

A wide variety of bulk production models at the Honda automobile booth are significantly electrified vehicles with the incorporation of the CR-V PHEV which will be termed as the first Honda Automobile introduced in China, supplemented with a plug-in hybrid system.

The Honda Automobile booth also comprises of a technology presentation booth which portrays Honda’s Omnidirectional ADAS which is the utmost next generation advanced safety and driver assistive system and a demonstration testing is being lined up by the Honda Company of this particular Omnidirectional ADAS in China before the end of this year.

While moving apropos of its worldwide 2030 inventiveness, Honda will further escalate the realization of a carbon-free and collision-free society by symbolizing concepts of the future technologies.

  • Honda SUV e:concept

Honda SUV e:concept is a concept model which indicates the direction of a sustainable bulk-production model of the Honda brand’s first EV to be introduced in China.

Honda is toiling to develop a bulk -production Electronic Vehicle model which will undoubtedly extend a value input on certain mobility experiences that remain new and FUN for customers. The basic margin is, the new EV model will be supplemented with omnidirectional ADAS, which is the next-generation Honda SENSING safety and driver-assistive system with enhanced predication, recognition, and decision-making performance, as well as the next-generation Honda CONNECT, which actually details an AI assistant interface, smartphone link and wireless updates made convenient and possible by advanced connectivity.


CR-V PHEV will be identified as the first Honda vehicle in China assembled with a plug-in hybrid system. This model is scheduled to go on sale in January 2021.

The plug-in hybrid system for this model was developed with an idea on the Honda’s original 2-motor hybrid system, SPORT HYBRID i-MMD, with additional modified efficiency of the battery and converter system. This particular system understands that an electronic vehicle is of best utilization when it makes driving convenient for everyday purposes with further responsiveness and noise reduction.

And the last item which is up for display is the item which is a brand new sequence technology introduced for the first time which is mainly for the purpose of increasing safety, comfort ability, and other efficient autonomous driving systems which are able to eliminate accidents, reduction of the driver’s workload and resolving traffic congestion etc. and this sensor fusion system is responsible for all of that.

  • Omnidirectional ADAS 

Omnidirectional ADAS is the next-generation and the advanced form of Honda SENSING, with improved performance abilities in order to maintain security of the driver and the other passengers. This improvement was made possible by widening the front camera angle and adopting 360-degree radar, which enabled the system to detect vehicle peripheral environment more accurately. This system will be able to assist safe driving in more complex and diverse driving conditions on highways and surface roads.

  • Honda is basically uplifting itself for a collision-free society by approaching “Safety for everyone” while sharing a road. Which definitely helps a society realize the importance of road security without any kind of involvement in an accident
  • As progressing towards this goal, Honda is planning to begin demonstration testing of its omnidirectional ADAS in China before the end of this year.
