The Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been around for a while now and has perched itself as being the go to car for anyone looking to purchase a premium hatchback. The car has been constantly updated by Maruti, and has features that one may not even find in much more expensive vehicles. The car is available in four variants, namely the Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Let’s have a look at the features offered in these variants, prices quoted are ex-showroom of Delhi.

1. Sigma – Starts at Rs. 5.63 lakh

The base variant of the Baleno is standard in most of its features, and is the only one not available in an automatic configuration. The car gets body colored door handles, ORVMs, bumpers, spoiler but comes without full wheel covers or LED headlamps and DRLs. but what one may miss the most in this one is the absence of any Infotainment system, as is the norm for base variants.

The Sigma also misses out on Keyless entry, Push button start, Climate control, rear power windows. This car is only available with a 1.2 L engine that makes 82 horsepower. This model is priced at INR 563,602.

2. Delta – Starts at Rs. 6.44 lakh

This variant has much more features on it, like chrome grille, ORVM Indicators, LED headlamps, full wheel covers, and importantly an infotainment system which comes without smartphone integration or navigation. The Delta gets the keyless entry, all power windows, rear seat adjustable headrest and other features that make it a much better choice than the Sigma.

The car also gets the CVT gearbox option and the Smart Hybrid 1.2 litre Dualjet engine that makes 89 horsepower and gives better fuel efficiency. The Delta starts at INR 644,612, with the CVT option costing INR 776,612 and the Smart Hybrid at INR 733,412.

3. Zeta – Starts at Rs. 7.01 lakh

This variant gets most of the features that the Baleno is famed for like the chrome door handles, alloy wheels, interior lighting, instrument panel display. The highlight of this variant is the Smartplay infotainment system that comes with Android auto and Apple Carplay and a very smooth running screen. Telescopic steering, armrest with storage, driver seat height adjuster are also available.

The Zeta is also available with the CVT and the Smart Hybrid engine, it is priced at INR 701,112 and goes up to INR 833,112 for the automatic variant.

4. Alpha – Starts at Rs. 7.64 lakh

The top variant of the Baleno is packed with features, firstly at the front you have the LED headlamps with DRLs, premium rear combination lamps with LEDs, UV cut glass which is clearer, Leather wrapped steering, automatic headlamps, reverse parking camera. Overall the best looking Baleno variant which rides on the premium alloys and demands a top price too.

The Alpha does not get the smart Hybrid engine option but comes with CVT. It is priced at INR 764,112 – 896,112.
