Nathalie Race and Nathalie Street can be seen live at the 89th Geneva Autolsalon 2019 until 17 March 2019. Up to 700,000 guests travel to Switzerland every year to see the latest innovations, trends and technologies from various manufacturers at Palexpo. A total of almost 200 exhibitors from all over the world will be exhibiting in the seven halls covering 21,000 square metres. At the joint stand of the Chinese start-up AIWAYS and Gumpert-AIWAYS, you can get an insight into two drive technologies: pure electric drive and fuel cell technology.
The new Nathalie is an uncompromising electric super sports car. It is one of the fastest and most dynamic sports cars you can drive with a license plate on the normal road. The Nathalie is the embodiment of freedom – unencumbered ecological freedom – of unlimited, carefree movement, of conscientious speed. It is what we would like to have when we imagine the future. And with its 2Way energy concept, it is more versatile and variable than almost anything before it.
A coupé with racing genes, grille frame, carbon chassis, all- wheel drive, vortex generator, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler – ready for fun on the circuit; with a rally feeling on the mountain track; silent cruising through the inner city; or just showing off on Highway No. 1 – the street-legal electric super sports car with track performance.
The Nathalie utilizes a technology enabling extensive ranges without the need to recharge – an enormous advantage especially in areas lacking EV charging stations. The Nathalie Fuel Cell works environmentally friendly with methanol and delivers a permanent power of 5 kW. Range? Unlimited!
The car is fueled by methanol – in just three minutes. Methanol provides energy using an electrochemical reaction thus it is far superior to all known fuels, as it can be synthesized in an environmentally neutral way. The car is refueled in just three minutes, and sufficient energy is available for the continuation of your journey. Uncompromising – how typical of Gumpert!
Roland Gumpert combines today’s most innovative, pioneering concepts. This new Nathalie brings together electric and four wheel drive, a revolutionary energy concept, uncompromising sportiness and futuristic, technical design – a highly explosive mixture for the ultimate super sports car for the coming decade.
Four electric engines accelerate the vehicle from 0-60 in under 2.5 seconds. It glides along almost silently yet has uncontainable power in the motors which propel the vehicle forward with 300-600 kW. Braking power is enhanced with recuperation – the recovery and re-use of the original braking power. Pure driving dynamic – Made by Roland Gumpert.
It sets benchmarks – and makes it feel like child’s play. The Nathalie is pioneering spirit, a stroke of genius and more than just a clever engineering idea. Its courageous, unique concept reinvigorates the automobile industry’s inventive spirit and combines the proven and established with the possibilities of e-mobility, computing and energy technologies.
The chassis, made using chrome molybdenum steel tubular design, ensures safety on par with any racing vehicle. The roll cage is firmly integrated and the carbon exterior-chassis’s light weight provides even better track performance. These technologies allowed for a one-of-a-kind interplay between contrasts. The street and racetrack in one – It’s your split time!
The Nathalie doesn’t stand still when the battery is empty. It is only the buffer between the 5 kW, methanol-driven fuel cell and the motors. The Nathalie is ready to go again after a three-minute retanking of methanol. This opens up new opportunities in areas without a developed charging infrastructure. A concept for independence and real electrical mobility.
