For the very first time, Ford has made a thrilling launch in Europe with the Ford Puma ST in the Ford SUV range of vehicles. The SUV is a hallmark example of the famous Ford Performance driving dynamics and has redefined the agility that Ford cars are known for. The first thing that anyone notices about a car is its body and the Puma ST is a definite eye catcher the moment you lay your eyes on it. Styled with a sporty finish and bodywork that has a sloping roofline figure and enhanced wheel arches, Ford has taken this SUV leaps ahead of its predecessors with the phenomenal design and technical detailing. It also offers increased stability and traction by a splitter that has been merged with the front bumper. Along with the ST special colour Mean Green, it also comes in five different shades with gloss black paint in different areas to make the SUV stand out even more.
Seeing as how imposing the exterior is, one might suspect that the interior would not live up to the external standards. However that is farthest from the truth as possible. Heated and reinforced Recaro sports seats provide all round comfort to anyone who sits on them. Providing a humongous load space, it can easily fit as much as two golf bags in an upright position under the boot floor. It does not stop there! It has all the standard technical systems like a wireless charging pad, Quickclear heated windscreen, parking sensors for front and rear, rain sensing wipers and Ford’s SYNC three communications and entertainment system.
Along with these standard convenience needs, it also offers compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which is further assisted by the 8 inch central touchscreen. The Puma ST is also fixed with many more driving support technological innovations Pre Collision Assist and Intelligent Speed Limiter. This SUV is also lauded for its superior sports technologies with its one of a kind Limited Slip Differential (LSD) option and original force vectoring springs.
Delivering an astounding 200 PS and acceleration of 0- 100 km/h in a mere 6.7 seconds, the Ford Puma ST is an excellent all around vehicle. Its versatility is also strengthened with its two drive modes of Eco and Track. Bold designing to create a higher centre of gravity and force vectoring springs bolster its already superior agile dynamic power.
Stefan Muenzinger, Ford Performance Manager in Europe said, “Real driving enthusiasts aren’t going to settle for less excitement just because life demands a more ‘sensible’ car, so our number one priority was that the Puma ST had to be as exhilarating and capable as every ST model without sacrificing any of Puma’s practicality.” The SUV supporting multiple modes of driving as per the mood of the driver- normal, eco, sport and track, definitely stays true to the words of Muenzinger, who also said, “Our new Puma ST is a practical and refined with head-turning SUV proportions, but able to deliver hot-hatchback thrills.”
