Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that the Museum of the Future represents a unique architectural and engineering marvel that celebrates human ingenuity and an indication that mankind is capable of building a better future, pointing out that the museum is an Emirati icon of the future of building architecture. He also parked his Mercedes-AMG G63 in front of the Museum for a great photo-op. This G63 with special number ‘1’ also represents Dubai as G-Class is the most popular car among it’s citizens.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said that the Museum of the Future speaks Arabic and combines our Arab authenticity with our global ambitions.
“Our goal is not to merely build engineering icons. Rather, it is to inspire mankind to build a better future. Dubai continues to build and the UAE continues on its path of achievements. Progress favours those who know what they want,” His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said.
The remarks by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed came during a ceremony to mark the placement of the last panel of the Museum of the Future’s facade, which symbolises the start of the final phase of construction. The structure of the Museum of the Future pushes the limits in architectural design and adds to Dubai’s skyline one of the most complex projects to date.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, “With the addition of the Museum of the Future alongside Emirates Towers and the Dubai International Financial Centre, this area will be the most innovative and influential region in the future industry and driving sustainability and development.” He noted that the museum gained international fame before its opening thanks to its unique design, and will be the title of urban excellence when it opens.
His Highness inspected the developments of work on the exterior of the museum located in the Dubai Future District and listened to a briefing from Dubai Future Foundation’s team on the design, engineering, and the advanced technological solutions that have been employed to make this unique architectural landmark a reality.
Accompanying His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid on his inspection tour were His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; and His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of the UAE Cabinet Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director of Dubai Future Foundation.
During the visit, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum affirmed that Dubai and the UAE will continues on the path of creativity in various fields thanks to the talent and determination to lead in the field of creating the future.
His Highness said: “We are working according to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid… Always seeking excellence and leadership. Today we stand before one of the most innovative buildings in the world. A testament to Dubai and the UAE’s leadership in creative design, engineering, and architectural uniqueness.”
