Did you ever imagine what would do when the time has reached to spec a bespoke Rolls-Royce, but you just do not understand from where to get the motivation? Well, let’s appreciate the one-off Rolls-Royce ‘Wraith – Inspired by Earth’.
Yes, you are assuming it right. They have taken the inspiration from the earth, which is… well everything- from the whole Solar System. Are we wrong? No, we are not.
Sun, Neptune, Earth, Uranus, Mercury, Saturn, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter. Here’s presenting the new theme of Rolls- Royce Abu Dhabi, as we all know that the brand has always bestowed its customers to fully customize their vehicle to their specific stipulation. For example, let’s take this latest Royal Blue Rolls-Royce Wraith, which is celebrates ‘Earth’ and henceforth, painted actually with the hand, featuring the Sun among other planets of solar systems.
Therefore, in this marque’s latest creation, ‘Wraith – Inspired by Earth’, The Royal Blue exterior paint, apparently representing the 75 percent of the Earth’s surface that is covered by H2O. Then we have the bonnet which is basically an air-brushed of the Middle East as seen by a spy-in-the-sky and is centered on the United Arab Emirates while consisting of the Red Sea as well.
How much time would you need to complete an artistic painting of the solar system? Maybe 3 hours or six, let’s assume. Here, you would be more surprised to know that it took over 100 hours to complete as Rolls claimed. Michael Bryden who is the lead bespoke designer said, “We’re used to clients bringing us grand visions for their Bespoke Commissions, but this provided a new perspective altogether. In our response to the brief, we’ve worked at both the ‘macro’ level, referencing the Sun and planets of the whole Solar System, and the much more personal ‘micro’ level, centering our view of the world on the place the customer calls home.”
Now, leaving beside the Earth, there is also a hand-painted coach line with a form or say an illustration of the Sun along with all the planets of the Solar System such as Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus etc. Then there is the Emerald Green piping, which is anticipated to express the ‘nature’ and white ‘RR’ monograms that suggest portraying the image of clouds and flowing water. The seat also gets a moccasin leather to simulate the deserts of the Emirates’. Moreover, for rivers and lakes, we have the Navy and Cobalto Blue accents.
Besides its excellent eco-friendly features, the Wraith is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 with 590lb-ft of torque and 623hp. in addition to that, An 8-speed ZF transmission is provided with a rear-wheel-drive system. Although the pricing has not been decided for the “Inspired by Earth” Wraith, no doubt, looking at the hard work, it seems to be a little more expensive than the usual model.
So, how useful would this thing have been when you were discovering about planets as a kid?
