Dealer crashed 2020 Tata Harrier XZ during service into a wall in Arunachal Pradesh, after multiple repairs owner is now facing multiple issues.
After service when owner was waiting for his car for delivery, Ksquare Automobile Pvt. Ltd. at Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh crashed his Tata Harrier on 12 March 2022 at 2:38 PM. The car slipped from washing ramp by itself and banged from rear at the wall, handbrake was not engaged at that time.
Dealership assured they will repair the car at their own cost. But after multiple repairs owner reported boot noise, rust issue, underbody sound, lots of paint residue inside, body panel rattling sound, panel gaps, alignment issues and non-matching of repainted parts.
Businessman by profession, car owner Tapanjit Talukdar said, “I had sent my car for minor bumper scratch get painted, they took 20 days for that, after completion of painting job they called me for delivery, before delivery they need to wash my car so they lift my car to their washing ramp parked without handbrake & gear with a stone they jammed my car when that stone got removed my car got rammed into their boundary wall and got damaged. They refused to give me CCTV footage.” He later sent emails to the company but no fruitful response. He also filed a report on e-dakhil (consumer forum).
He was given car for trial for 2 months (Aug-Sept), after multiple issues, he gave the car back for further repairs. Owner said that car was sent to other service centre for repair in Dibrugarh (Assam) at Subhangshu Motors without his consent. He also said those employees involved in the crash were fired by the dealership.
Owner now wants a proper response from Tata Motors. He want his car to be in original condition or to be replaced.
We contacted Tata AGM, he said, “The car is under repair right now. We are rectifying every issue and it is under our special supervision. We will deliver the car as soon customer is satisfied.”
