Citroen’s presents its new E- Jumper, with is 100% electric magic. This compact van is the 3rd electrified van and the 6th electric model launched in 2020 by the Brand.
It will provides all the advantages of the internal combustion engine jumpers in terms of character, dimensions, useful volume and payload with the the payload capacity up to 1,890 kg, with the loading volume of up to 17 m3, it will provide the feel of internal combustion engine with the advantages of the electric engine, by providing the range of up to 340 km with the charging of the battery to 80% in 45 minutes. With the most powerful battery in the segment it provides 2 driving ranges to choose from, 200 km with 37 kWh lithium-ion battery and 340 km with 70 kWh battery. At the public charging stations costumers can charge the battery with Super-fast charge with 50 kW, that allows the 2 batteries to be charged to 80% in 1 hour.
According to brand it will provide smooth driving with the engine power of 96 kW in electric mode and with amazing torque it produces. It is equipped with a single variable speed that will facilitates driving and also optimises the efficiency of the electric motor and increases the driving range. In addition, it is equipped with an energy recovery system to control front and rear operation with the regenerative braking energy-recovery function, and this will make and save the energy and recovers it, when the accelerator is released and when the brake applied. It is sort of next generation hybrid technology.
It has the 9 useful assistance systems for safe and stress-free driving such as, Active Safety Brake, Hill start assist, Lane departure warning system, Rear-view camera and reversing sensors, Intelligent headlight control, Speed limit sign recognition, Cruise control, Blind spot monitoring system and rear traffic alert which shows vehicles approaching from the left and right within a radius of 50 m, Hill descent control and intelligent traction control.
Costumer’s safety is must in these vehicles which handle extreme terrains and payloads and Citroen have same of the very useful and safety features in their vehicle, such as a low tyre pressure monitoring system, passenger airbags and side airbags which is optional, emergency braking system, central locking, central locking, automatic dipped-beam headlight ignition, automatic front windscreen wipers, navigation with 9″ touchscreen (optional) and 5″ touchscreen MP3 and Bluetooth-compatible audio system, for music lovers.
It has the charging flap on the front left wing just the same as presented in combustion engine vehicles for fuel. On the glass of the interior rear-view mirror useful electrical information is displays such as, battery percentage, current level, and many more. It enhances comfort with its zero-noise character. I will be available 4 lengths, L1 (4.963 m – 37 kWh), L2 (5.413 m – 37 kWh), L3 (5.998 m – 70 kWh) and L4 (6.363 m – 70 kWh).
Citroen claims that from 2021, its all light commercial vehicles will be available in an 100% electrified version.
