• Launches India’s first EV born SUV BYD – ATTO 3

Ahmedabad, India – The world’s leading new energy vehicle manufacturer BYD today inaugurated its first passenger vehicles showroom in Ahmedabad and 10th outlet in India. The showroom located in Ahmedabad is managed by Cargo BYD.

The showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, in the presence of senior officials of BYD India and Cargo BYD.

Cargo BYD will provide access to BYD’s pure electric vehicles and high-quality services for its consumers in Ahmedabad. With considerable experience in the automobile industry, Cargo BYD has extensive reach with its business covering neighbouring regions.

Spread across 3000 square feet with total plot area of 21375 square feet which will include an additional workshop, the showroom with 3S facility (Sales, Service, Spares) has well-trained technicians, service equipment, service bays, EV charging stations, a customer lounge and a showroom display floor, offering customers the best in-store experience.

Ahmedabad has witnessed a growing trend of consumers buying feature-rich and comfortable cars. Gujarat has the 12th highest number of electric vehicles in the country.

The Indian government is targeting 30% EV penetration for the PV segment by 2030 and is aiming to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070. Driven by these goals, BYD will constantly work closely with its partners to provide localized and green products for the Indian market.
