French car manufacturer, Citroën is all set to debut in the Indian market with its flagship SUV the C5 Aircross in 2021. A recent image of the upcoming Citroën dealership that reads “Bonjour Delhi!” which has emerged on the internet has taken the people with a storm and makes us to believe it will be ready for orders soon.
French car manufacturer, Citroën is coming to India. La Maison means ‘Home’ in French and it will not be long before the brand comes up with more dealerships around the country. In the past, Citroën had also stated that the brand aspires to bring the concept of ‘La Maison Citroen’ for its ten showrooms in India. They will be located in the cities like Cochin, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bangalore.
The La Maison concept maintains to take as little space as possible with 150 square meters to fix up, which is quite commendable for densely populated metro cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, etc. where the real estate property is not only harder to find but also is costly and adds to the value of the dealer. Yet, the New Delhi showroom may not be on the La Maison concept, but Citroën is expected to open up these petite showrooms with have book shops and coffee shops closer to high circles.
In the Indian market, Citroën proposes to take the top-down strategy by launching the C5 Aircross first, which is expected to be succeeded by a compact SUV. Also, the first model C5 Aircross premium SUV is set to be unveiled on February 1, 2021, with a fully electric powertrain and flex-fuel technology. This C5 Aircross will be introduced as a CKD to India with an 180hp, 2.0-liter diesel engine to an 8-speed automated gearbox, which is expected to be priced upwards of Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Consequently, Citroën will bring a number of new models, with advanced levels of localization under the program of ‘C-Cubed’. These models are likely to be the brand’s highest sellers, and models like the codename C21 compact SUV have already seen being tested in India.
It is also worth considering that this idea was first revealed in Paris back in 2017 and is now being executed over 100 locations globally. The showroom idea can be sized up as well as scaled-down, due to its use of specific configurations.
We can expect the dealers to serve as the digital reference in the automotive industry and they provide AnyTime, AnyWhere, AnyDevice, AnyContent, (ATAWADAC) expertise service to clients. Hence, they are very well equipped in rendering quality services such as committing towards customer satisfaction, empowering the local management, keenness to invest in phy-gital facilities, and transparent and clear ownership.
