This CNG model completes 0-100 km/h in 9.7 seconds which still is very fast for a CNG car also it has a top speed of 211 km/h, It also has a fuel economy of 3.5-3.6 kg of CNG for 100 Kilometres it also provides a range of 495 kilometres according to NEDC. It also has 9 litres of reserve gasoline tank mounted in front of the rear axle of the car; Power is delivered swiftly to the front wheels through a 7-Speed S-Tronic gearbox.

The new Audi A3 Sportback 30 G-Tron also comes with more safer and lighter gas tanks for improved safety and better performance, Three CNG tanks are mounted on the rear axle of the car perpendicular to the direction of travel, One Narrow steel cylinder with the capacity of 4 kilograms is located in front of the gasoline tank and two larger gas tanks made up of fiber-composite material are placed below luggage compartment and can each hold 7 kilograms of CNG, These tanks are made with keeping in Audi’s Light Weight Construction Philosophy and each tank weighs just 26 kilograms and have a inner layer of gas tight polyamide vessel and the outer shell comprises of two layers: An inner layer of Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) and the outer layer is made of Glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP).The outer layer also has a safety function that it turns milky white if it has been damaged. Before being mounted on the car the tanks are pressure tested at 300 bar which is far above the functioning pressure of 200 bar and the tanks can withstand a burst pressure of 580 bar.
