Audi S5 Sportback has been officially teased by the carmaker ahead of the coupe sedan’s India launch. It will be powered by a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that generates 349 bhp with 500 Nm of peak torque.
Audi had revealed that it will launch S5 Sportback in India while launching Q2 SUV last year. The company had even listed the high-performance liftback tailgate on its India website for a short while before removing it from there. However, the German carmaker has now officially teased the S5 Sportback and is gearing up to add the car to its lineup soon. The word on the street is that the company will launch the S5 Sportback in India this month only. The sedan was originally expected to hit the markets in December last year but looks like Audi delayed those plans to launch the new A4 in January this year.
Audi S5 Sportback will sport some signature Audi elements like a single-frame hexagonal grille with honeycomb mesh, sleek LED headlamps with Matrix LED lights (optional), chiselled front bumper with black inserts, creases on the bonnet, and a prominent character line along the length the of the sedan. The rear sports split LED tail lights, diffuser, and quad exhaust pipes.
