For many petrolheads, performance is one of the most important aspects of a desirable vehicle. The increasing success of AMG, BMW M and Audi Sport, impressively demonstrates this. The Neckarsulm-based in-house tuner from the Ingolstadt-based manufacturer recently expanded the range to include the RS Q8, which comes with 600 PS and 800 Nm from a 4.0-liter V8 bi-turbo. This turns the all-wheel drive into a super sports car, which accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and, depending on the Vmax limiter, up to 250 or even 305 km/h. These key figures are truly impressive, but nothing compared to what the RS Q8 has to offer after the optimization at MANHART Performance: The specialists from Wuppertal make it the RQ 900.
As this name suggests, the mastodon from Ingolstadt was then tuned to 900 hp, with the maximum torque now being 1,080 Nm. Larger turbochargers are responsible for the significant plus. In addition, other components under the bonnet fitted to the eight-cylinder received adequate upgrades. For example, MANHART offers a complete exhaust system for the RQ 900. However, only the rear silencer has TÜV approval for Germany, the middle silencer and the downpipe are therefore intended for export only. The eight-speed automatic transmission and the chassis of the RS Q8 are also optimized: the body of the RQ 900 is three centimeters closer to the floor than the production model.
In line with the seemingly overwhelming power, MANHART also tailored a striking widebody body kit to the Audi: Various carbon exterior components, such as the bonnet, the front spoiler lip, the fender flares and the rear diffuser. Rounding off the package are the side skirts, a roof edge spoiler and a second spoiler below the rear window. Up on request, there are also typical MANHART decorative foils consisting of various decorative strips. The new wheel set is also indispensable for the RQ 900: The assembled MANHART Concave One rims have the dimensions 10.5×23 inches and 12×23 inches! Satin black or Gunmetal Gray Diamond are available as finishes.
Last but not least, the interior is completely equipped with leather, which extends to the new floor mats. It is colour-coordinated to match the look of the body. In total, the RQ 900 is only produced in a limited number of 10 at a price of EUR 310,000 – excellent exclusivity is guaranteed!
