The Volkswagen Group has presented a brand new opportunity to university graduate students who wish to build a career in the automobile industry. Ambitious students from all over the world are free to apply for the course, wherein they will receive first-hand training at multiple locations around the globe, for a period of 18 months.

A chance to gain immense experience on multiple aspects of employment at one of the biggest auto brands in the world is one that no student would want to miss. The Audi Global Graduate Program is one such opportunity which offers exposure to students on a variety of disciplines. The scheme has been developed for those students who are hopeful about their future as an indispensable part of the automotive business, if you’re one of them- then this program is the one for you.

If the chance of working at and gaining valuable insight on the functioning of a group as large as Volkswagen wasn’t already enough, the fact that students can apply globally and gain international experience is the cherry on top. Throughout the training period, trainees can expect to grow both their professional as well as inter-personal skills. It is also an advantageous scheme in the way that students will learn networking and building connections within the industry- with the organisation and mentors, and even with their own peers.

Interested candidates can start applying from December 4th and the applications will be available until the mid of December. In January, all the applicants will have their interviews, and in the following two months of February and March they will be scrutinised at an Assessment Center. After this, the final list of chosen candidates will be offered to start their training program from April 2021.

Participants can also choose their preferred area of work, which would then be covered under five major categories during the training period of a year and a half. The five occupational arenas are:

  • Product and technology
  • IT, processes, and digitalization
  • Validation and compliance
  • Market and finance
  • Human resources and organization

Trainees will receive an all-inclusive education on all their areas of interest and the two locations of Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm have been finalised for the program. However, other options of staying abroad and individually training at another brand of Volkswagen Group have also been provided to the selected candidates.

The plan came into existence as a result of trials by some Audi trainees and a team led by Celina Beci and Angelika Pitter who manage the Audi Career Development Programs. The makers of this program believe that it would be an ideal platform that teaches the future employees of Audi each and every important aspect of working at such a prestigious and advanced auto maker. In addition to learning and growing with the brand, the company has also geared towards creating talented personnel that share the same vision as the brand itself.
