• Cartist weekend activity invites artist Sant Kumar as “Artist in Workshop ” he creates artwork using paper & charcoal .
Cartist – Art of Restoration, a six- month project plans to document stories of car restoration. During the weekend they invited Artist Sant Kumar as “Artist in the workshop” to experience the workshop and process of restoration and he depicted whatever was happening around him in the workshop and created beautiful artworks of Cadillac engine, speedometer, headlight and engine piston. On the other hand he also created an ambassador gearbox, tyres, taillight and complete car which was open for paint job.
“I have been associated with Cartist for a long time now.But visiting workshop was completely a different experience for me it give exposure to see the process of car restoration and working with cars in workshop to create my artwork was something new and memorable” Sant Kumar
About Artist Sant Kumar: Born in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, he moved to Jaipur 10 years back and earned his BA and MA from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He  is best known for his work that reflects poetry. He expresses the expression on his face and every moment in his paintings. He was honoured with a state award by Lalit Kala Academy in 2016.
The workshop is supported by the industry’s leading brands, 3M, Apollo Tyres, Nippon Paint, Groz Tools and World Auto Forum. The brands are sponsoring Cartist for its ongoing Art Restoration Project of two iconic vintage cars – Cadillac 1954 Fleetwood 60 Special and Ambassador Mark II 1969. The workshop aims to provide its excited enthusiasts the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to restore your old backyard car into your dream car.
