For Audi RS Q8, it was hard to imagine that such a remarkable vehicle could even be perfected further. However, ABT’s new additions to the SUV have eradicated any doubts about perfecting its performance and have created a car even more spellbinding than before. It is at par with the best vehicles in its class, on the street as well as a handling course. ABT’s exhaust system has given the SUV a resonating purr that evidently shows the power in its engine. The exhaust flaps that function on electricity, in addition to its four dynamic pipes are the main sources of its glorious sound. Due to its integrated interference pipe and minimized exhaust backpressure, the power delivery has also been aided greatly. ABT has also provided Audi with an exhaust housing polished in lustrous black sporting its engraved ABT logo which gives endpipe covers to the tail skirt.
ABT did not stop at just a new exhaust; it also equipped the gigantic SUV coupé with 23 inch ABT High Performance GR which increased the overall visual appeal of the alloy wheels. As compared to previously used cast wheels, the new ABT Sportsline max performance wheels are produced in a single go and are almost 40% lighter than their former counterparts. ABT has also decreased the rim bed volume by 50%, by rolling out and compressing parts of the cast rim base during the additional production stage as per its contemporary flowforming tech. This technological advancement has enabled it to increase the walls’ thinness, thereby creating a sleek body with greater steadiness. Its distinctive design is also facilitated by the bowl-shaped base and diamond machined rim extension. As the name suggests, ABT Sportsline adds to the sporty feel of this powerful car with carbon-fashioned fender inserts and rear spoiler.
Having a power of 600 hp (441kW) behind its performance, ABT also has many more options to make it even sportier and dynamically powerful. It became the fastest production SUV in 2019, breaking the Nordschleife record courtesy of its air suspension. ABT Level Control allows lowering the vehicle as per its modes. Using the Comfort level, it can be lowered by 25 mm and by using the Dynamic level the lowering can be as much as 15 mm. Its Coffee mode allows for a supplementary 10 mm lowering of the vehicle. It is evident that ABT has left no stone unturned in making the Audi RS Q8 as astonishing a vehicle as possible. With performance elevations going as high as 700 hp (515 kW) and 880 Nm, to 740 hp (544 kW) and 920 Nm and reaching top speeds of 310 km/h to 315 km/h, it has truly become a charmer of an SUV.
