Renault draws a cute rabbit from its hat, well, not precisely. It is opened into the compact SUV segment with its B-SUV called the ‘Kiger’. The name is not a wonder to us, but Renault guarantees many advanced features in it. We need to check that for sure!
The good news for Indian Renault fans who are mad for the brand’s style, dynamism, innovation, and perfection. The Indian Renault has recently revealed the Kiger compact SUV in its conceptual form. This is going to be launched with an all-new global turbo petrol engine. Therefore, Kiger is coming in its den.
Make no mistake but the car in the show resembles somewhat like a Kwid on steroids. If we are not over-thinking much, well, pardon the saying, but it really does. It gets a comely bold front with two-level of full LED lights and a neon-colored indicator. Now, that is jazzy enough, eh? You could also notice the shark fin antenna, double C-shaped LED tail lamps and muscular wheel arches sculpted. The production of the Renault Kiger will have loads in common with the Nissan Magnite, which was launched on 26 such as the platform, engine, and features.
While it gets C-shaped LED taillights at the rear that is so with a spoiler. Its side profile is handsome, too, particularly the 19-inch wheels including that semi-floating roofline and the 210 mm ground. Another detail that is worth mentioning here on this show car is the semi-floating roof, sloping rear window, ‘airplane wings’ like tapered mirrors, and those dynamic blue and purple hues on it. Now, we know it is just Renault flexing its artful prowess, but what really signifies is the production exception. Can it hit the mark with the Kiger’s production variant? Stay tuned.
Dubbed ‘Aurora Borealis’ and ‘California Dream’ and the body color has to exchange hues when seen from different angles and lights. It will give an appearance to the production with 80 percent similarity, which will go on sale in the next year in India.
So the Renault Kiger is jointly produced by Renault France and India’s design teams. It is created on Triber’s platform, which will come with an all-new turbo petrol engine. It will be furnished with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol, paired with a CVT automatic transmission or manual. In addition, the natural version of the 1.0-litre gasoline unit could also be on presentation. The interior will have add-ons such as an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play, a digital instrument cluster, and Android Auto connectivity, etc.
Thus, this time Kiger has been extended to be designed in order to provide an “unmatched road presence with an impressive frontal audacity.” Moreover, this series version is designed and developed for India, which is the answer to fans’ desires and fantasies in terms of compact SUVs. This means it has encouraged the Renault to relinquish a new clientele. While, this will also be exported outside of India.
