Known for its impressive line-up of high performance SUVs, Jaguar has presented yet another highpoint example of its engineering and high-class technical knowhow in the form of new F-Pace SVR. An SUV that boasts high speed combined with luxurious comfort, it has endured several augmentations to heighten riding experience as a whole.
Promising an advanced version of the company’s crown jewel- the F-Pace, Jaguar delivered exactly what it pledged and brought forward an even more radical model of this already leading vehicle. The F-Pace SVR guarantees higher performance, greater technical prowess, more lavish interiors and an even sportier looking body than its previous counterpart. New Jaguar F-PACE SVR is priced from £77,595 OTR in the UK (INR 77 lakh).
The new SUV owes its high-performance rep to the 550PS 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged petrol engine which propels the car from 0 to 100 in a minute 3.8 seconds and reaches a top velocity of 286 km/h. As compared to the F-Pace, the SVR takes three-tenths of a second lesser to reach 100 km/h and has a 2mph top speed increase. Those concerned about the carbon footprint of a petrol engine would be swayed by the fact that Jaguar has decreased CO2 emissions while increasing fuel economy of this SUV. A new Dynamic Launch feature also uses driveline inertia to maintain power to the wheels during gear changes, contributing to the SVR’s sharper acceleration from a standstill.
Also playing its part is Jaguar’s developed Electronic Vehicle Architecture- EVA 2.0 which has also assisted the dynamic system of this car in becoming more advanced and driver-focused. Now customers can utilise the various tweaks in its dynamics that make it well-suited to a calmer speed while retaining its high-speed properties. Modifications have also been extended to aspects like steering system, adaptive damping, chassis and brakes which help in increasing the connected feel between the vehicle and driver.
A standard addition of All-Wheel Drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics does not only enhance driving experience, it also offers superior control of the vehicle in unfavourable road conditions. Drivers who prefer to drive their vehicles according to their own liking benefit from the Configurable Dynamics system which shifts between Comfort and Dynamic modes, exhibiting its adaptability and duality of usage.
However, that is not all. Manual settings as per the driver’s preference also include JaguarDrive Control which has four modes to choose from- Comfort, Eco, Rain-Ice-Snow and Dynamic. High performance and control tweaks aside, the F-Pace SVR also showcases a dynamic exterior which takes its inspiration from SV’s motorsport experience. The outside is not only more aerodynamic, it is also more stylish and appealing to the eye.
These exterior enhancements have been done to make its appearance more athletic while also increasing its athletic abilities through increased airflow and drag reduction. For the interiors, Jaguar completely remodelled the cabin. Now featuring an even more exclusively luxurious feel, the comfort and serenity is heightened by Alcantara seat and door inserts, and Windsor leather. Infotainment system – the new Pivi Pro also ensures overall connectivity and entertainment while riding in the SUV.
Safety tech in this SUV is just as extensive as all the other features; some of the major safety aspects include a Guardian Mode, Secure App and 3D Surround Camera technology.
A slew of cutting-edge technologies developed specifically to increase driver assistance and passenger comfort, with a powertrain and aerodynamic body that delivers highest levels of performance sums up the new F-Pace SVR as a whole.
Michael van der Sande, Managing Director, Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations stated, “The original F-Pace SVR was incredibly characterful, well received by our customers and has gone on to become the highest-selling Jaguar SV product ever. The new version builds on this success, by making numerous detailed improvements that combine to raise the bar in the high-performance SUV segment. With a wide range of technological enhancements from our team of expert engineers and a comprehensively improved exterior and interior finish, the new F-Pace SVR is more focused, inspires more confidence and is even more captivating than ever before.”
